Chapter 431 Chapter 431 Fortune's p.o.V.

Having to concentrate on our assignment keepsfrom dealing with the thoughts of our Mates, mostly thoughts about why they weren't at the house or why they had a block on the mind-link and of course the Warriors that were supposed to be guarding us.

I can't think of anything about their new assignment that could be so important that they forgot about us and our safety, but then again I have no idea what their new assignment is about.

I am grateful that La Himta is located near a forest and with no cameras at the back of the building it is easy for us to get away, Maleah informed Pauline we didn't need the ride after all. Maleah takes off her clothes to hand control toand I pick up the bag she took with her, taking off immediately towards Blood Crescent territory.

I need to see my Mates and find out why they did what they did and if their excuse is a lone I might use them as punching bags for training or I will ban them from the bedroom.

"Yeah, as if you want to spend a night without one of them next to you." Maleah mumbles and I have to admit that I would hate to sleep alone tonight or any other night for that matter, I have adapted to having someone in my bed pretty quickly.

I run through the forest at a leisurely speed and it lulls my Human to sleep, something that happens whenever I take a run to calm myself down. I know she will wake up the moment I tell her to, but right now there is no reason for her to be awake.

I speed up a little as I leave Coalfell behindand I enjoy the peace and quiet as I make my way towards Wolfpine, it doesn't take long before I see the town cinto view. I love the picturesque cottages that are built along the outskirts of the small town, but I know they are too small for us to live in and suddenly I wonder how the four of us are going to live in our house.

There are barely enough rooms for us to sleep in, so what will happen when we have Pups.

Something I need to discuss with my Human and our Mates, maybe we can build onto the house and create more space that way or maybe we should think about building a new house to accommodate all of us.

I slow down my pace as I let that last option run through my mind, what would it look like from the outside or how would the interior look like. I would like an open floor plan for the ground floor, enough windows to enjoy our surroundings and enough rooms upstairs for all of us.

By the tI start to think about the interior of the house I have cto a full stop and somehow that wakes up my Human.

"What is wrong, Fortune?" She asks and I tell her where my mind had taken me.

"Sounds like you already forgave them." She says teasingly and I know I will listen to their explanation, but I am not sure if I will let them off the hook that easily.

My Human is right though, I can't stay mad at our Mates and I know that has everything to do with the Mate- bond that is growing between us.

I take of at high speed because I want to go home, get my Mates to the forest for a run and to find out how far our bond has formed. The closer I get to our territory the more uneasy I feel and even my Human is starting to feel uneasy.

"Fortune, something is wrong. They have doubled the Warriors on border patrol, there are about twenty Lycans straight ahead of us." Maleah informsand when ask her where they are exactly I hear her mutter, "Fuck, at the location Pauline picked us up." Maleah tellsthat they are in Human form and that they all feel stressed out. I swerve from one side of the road to the other side and know it is difficult for anyone to see what is approaching them, at least until it is too late for anyone to run off.

"It's our leadership with a lot of Warriors." Maleah says and I wonder when her abilities will stop to expand of amaze me. I am glad I can cto a halt in a split second, but I am going to scare the shit out of them.

I see Kay standing in the middle of the road and he is looking in my direction, but I doubt he is able to see that it is the at this distance and the moment he is able to recognizethear several voices mutter, "Thank the Goddess." I skid to a halt in front of Kay, but I startle him so much that he ends on his ass in front ofand I hear Maleah giggle in my head. I step further towards Kay and it forces him to lie down on his back.

"Angel, who took you?" I hear Levi ask and for a moment I wonder what they are talking about, but then Maleah starts laughing her ass off.

"They thought someone kidnapped us, that is the reason for doubling the Warriors on patrol," she explains and a look at Kay I can see the worry in his eyes, I just shake my head before I walk towards strees. I think it is best if my Human explains this to them, face to face and I hand over control to Maleah once we are behind the trees.

Our Mates still look uneasy when Maleah steps from behind the tree and I think we all need to learn to warn the others when we have to leave. Let's just hope that next tit isn't out of anger that we leave.
