The doctor entered the room, took Reese's temperature, and inquired about her physical condition.
Then, turning to Lukas, he stated, "Sir, the patient is now in stable condition and can be discharged."
Lukas's expression froze momentarily; the turnaround was too swift, even for someone as composed and
unruffled as him.
He recalled the words he had exchanged with Reese just earlier, and his countenance turned somewhat
unsightly. His voice stiffened. "Her health hasn't fully recovered; she can't be discharged yet."
The doctor assumed this was a case of family members being overly concerned and explained, "While the
patient was on the verge of shock, it was a bodily stress response. As long as recovery follows, there shouldn't
be any major issues."
Lukas was about to say something further, but Reese immediately interjected, "Mr. Strakovski, hospitals are filled
with germs. Who knows, | might have been fine all along but could end up catching something else. I'd rather be
discharged." Upon hearing Reese's words, Lukas's expression subtly shifted: "Then let's leave the hospital. I'll
have someone handle the discharge procedures."
The doctor smiled and nodded before heading out.
Reese glanced at Lukas's expression, which seemed less than favorable.
She felt somewhat speechless. This man was truly stubborn. Conversations with him probably required a brick in
hand to pave the way for communication. Otherwise, she could spend her whole life in a standoff with him
without changing his mind.
Lukas's arrangements swiftly completed the discharge procedures.
Reese intended to head straight back to the hotel.

However, just as she had exited with Lukas, a car pulled up directly in front of them.
Reese looked up at him, and Lukas cast a cool glance. "Get in the car; what are you standing there for?"
Reese considered for a moment before speaking: "Mr. Strakovski, we're not staying in the shotel."
Lukas's voice turned slightly cold. "Don't go back to the previous hotel. Head directly to the Fiveone Hotel."
Hearing him say that, Reese stood still in her tracks.
She looked somewhat hesitant. "Mr. Strakovski, it's better if we maintain some
distance. After all, given our relationship, it's easy to stir up controversy."
Lukas's handsface grew grim. "Why would our relationship stir up controversy?"
Reese tightly pressed her lips together. "I'm a participating designer, and you're a judge."
Lukas's handsface shifted slightly, and he was about to respond when his phone rang.
He checked it, and Reese unconsciously glanced at the screen, unknowingly scanning the name.
The two characters, "Rose," blinked continuously on the screen.
Lukas's irritation creased his brow. He answered the call, then quickly ended it.
Reese's demeanor grew even more distant. "Mr. Strakovski, if you have something to attend to, go ahead. | really
appreciate your help today, but | can return to the hotel alone."
Lukas immediately sounded irritated: "Go back to the hotel by yourself? Allergic reactions haven't been fully
investigated yet. Do you want another round of this?" Reese furrowed her brows. "I'll be more careful this time."
"Is your version of being careful trustworthy?" Lukas's tone was quite disgruntled. Reese was about to argue for
herself, but Lukas's phone rang again.
Lukas was on the brink of anger. Thinking it was Rose calling again, he picked up his phone, ready to snap.
However, seeing the caller ID changed his expression, and he suppressed his anger. He answered the call, his
tone becoming somewhat milder: "Hello, bro."
Reese looked at him in surprise. Despite having been together with Lukas for quite a while, she had no idea he
had a brother.
A voice full of warmth cthrough the phone: "Lukas, I'm back in the country. Do you have ttonight? Let's
have dinner together."
Lukas glanced at Reese, pursed his lips, and responded, "I'm not in Switzerland now. | cto Menkerios a day
before you returned to the country. I'll call you when | get back, okay?"
The voice on the other end laughed lightly, saying, "No problem, just letknow when you're free. I've been
quite idle lately."
After exchanging a few more words, Lukas hung up the phone.
After ending the call, he opened the car door without saying a word.
Reese stood frozen in place, wondering what was going on. Did she need to get into the car now?
At this moment, a security guard approached and reminded him, "Sir, parking isn't allowed at the hospital's
entrance."
Lukas ignored the guard, who instinctively looked at Reese.
Reese's face reddened, and she quickly said, "Let's go then."

She looked somewhat annoyed at Lukas and hurriedly got into the car.
Lukas snorted softly, directly closing his door and getting into the car from the other side.
Once they were in the car, Lukas paid no attention to Reese. He opened his laptop and started working.
Reese also didn't do anything to upset him. She messaged Ava, telling her she had returned to the hotel and that
she should cdirectly there.
The car continued toward the Fiveone Hotel.
Midway, Lukas suddenly asked Reese, "Who do you think is related to your allergic reaction?"
Reese shook her head. "I don't know, but..."
Lukas saw her hesitating and couldn't help but furrow his brows. "But what?" Reese spoke frankly: "But | heard
from Ava that Gwendolyn is in Menkerios." Lukas's gaze grew heavy. "Are you suspecting her in relation to your
allergic reaction?"
Reese pressed her lips together. "I just find the timing too coincidental." Lukas's handsface darkened
suddenly. "I told you before, being merciful to your enemies is being cruel to yourself. Are you now realizing the
consequences?"
Reese furrowed her brows. "I'm just suspicious. Moreover, this incident might not necessarily have been caused
by Gwendolyn. The bow! of porridge was even personally brought toby Chloe."
Lukas stared at her, snorting coldly, "Reese, you really have a talent. You're even protecting your enemies now."
Reese's complexion wasn't great. She was about to explain, but Lukas's expression suddenly changed, and he
said in a stern tone, "Stop the car."
