Chapter 1245: King's Battle

The majestic staff manifestation heralded a cataclysm that was about to descend upon the city. Even a Single Crowned King would be forced to retreat before this very blow. However, Qin Jiujie did not withdraw, as he was also a Dual Crowned King. His expression sank as he stretched his hand out and waved gently. The void before him shattered, then a scintillating lake of thunder appeared. On top of the thunder lake was a rising red flame.

The harmony of thunder and flpersisted for a few breaths before they transformed into several streams of light that landed in Qin Jiujie's hand. They then took the form of a heavy truncheon.

The truncheon was engraved with source origin runes that had been formed by the fusion of thunder and flame.

Below him, surprise appeared in Qin Yi's beautiful eyes when she spotted the crimson and silver truncheon in Qin Jiujie's hand. Chu Qing's gaze also turned heated when he saw the weapon. "That is the Grand Palace Master's venerated heirloom, the legendary ExtrThunder Heaven Burning Truncheon! It is said that countless Kings have fallen to it.”

"He started the fight off with his trusty venerated heirloom! It seems that he fears the Dragon Fang King's attack," Qin Yi lightly commented.

"He is a renowned Dual Crowned King after all," Chu Qing replied.

He stared unblinkingly as the two terrifying existences exchanged blows. A confrontation between Kings was incredibly rare to see, and these were even Dual Crowned Kings.

After all, once one reached the King Stage, they were apex existences whose every move had far-reaching ramifications both physically and politically. Thus cthe saying that a King never moved lightly.

This was why the experts in the city were confused when Li Jingzhe barged into their doorstep.

Every single strand of the fused energies contained condensed source origin energy of both fire and thunder.

The ExtrThunder Heaven Burning Truncheon and the Kingslayer Staff collided! The entire firmament seemed to have been rendered into two. One side was a world of thunder and flwhereas the other was filled with immense, golden light. The latter side contained a golden dragon and a golden stalk of bamboo that stood defiantly between the skies and the earth, emitting violent thunder.

"The Grand Palace Master possesses a thunder and a fire resonance. The Dragon Fang King should have a Golden Dragon and Heavenly Thunder Bamboo resonance. All of them are good at offense," Qin Yi said as she quietly observed.

"Additionally, they seem to be perfectly compatible with their resonance affinities, to a greater extent when compared toand my lower ninth-grade resonance. It looks like the rumors were not false. When one enters the King Stage, their resonances evolve and enter the ninth-grade. The Grand Palace Master and the Dragon Fang King should have already reached the middle ninth-grade. That means that Triple Crowned Kings have upper ninth-grade resonances."

Chu Qing nodded and then let out a sigh. "The King Stage is truly an incredible realm. Once you step into it, you have truly transcended the world."

As the two conversed, the Blackwater Divine Transformation Formation above Abyssal City continued to operate at full capacity. The black water continued to surge forward and transform into a barrier that resolved the collateral impacts of the two Kings' attacks.

Even so, the magnificent city continued to tremble due to the aftershocks. All of the Dukes within were on the tips of their toes. On a normal day, they would be people of influence and importance, but at this point in time, they were specks that could be blotted away by the aftermath of this confrontation.

"Li Jingzhe, it's tfor you to leave. If you continue to cause a ruckus, it will not be to your benefit," Qin Jiujie coldly warned.

"Oh really?" Li Jingzhe replied.

"Both of us are Dual Crowned Kings and this is the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin's core ground with the Blackwater Divine Transformation Formation and the Blackwater Guardians stationed here. If you remain ignorant of our good intentions and cannot determine what's right and wrong, don't blme for harming your source origin," Qin Jiujie threatened directly.

"Furthermore, you've already achieved your aim."

Whether it was to deter future opponents by killing the chicken to scare the monkeys, or to warn the Bloodline of Heavenly Emperor Qin or other powers that coveted Li Luo, Li Jingzhe had already achieved this goal.

The howls echoed throughout the city.

It was then that everyone saw a gigantic, golden wolf walk towards them. It emanated an aura of ferociousness, and its nine tails could be seen dancing in the skies, creating tornadoes with every swish.

A Nine-tailed Heavenly Wolf! If Li Luo was here, he would definitely sigh in amazement. This was the final form of the Five-tailed Heavenly Wolf. It was said that amongst the spirit beast tribes, the Nine-tailed Heavenly Wolf reigned at the top.

Qin Jiujie lightly waved the ExtrThunder Heaven Burning Truncheon. The two crowns above him transformed into a stream of pure energy, then the Nine-tailed Heavenly Wolf shrunk and similarly condensed into another stream of energy, all of which landed on the truncheon and turned into three archaic runes.

It was then that a tri-colored halo surrounded it.

This was triple resonance energy. "Li Jingzhe, I'll ask you one last time. Will you step back?" Qin Jiujie asked coldly.

"Both of us are Dual Crowned Kings. Even if you kick up a fuss, what can you do?" Qin Jiujie's frigid words cut through the silence.

Behind Li Jingzhe, the golden dragon coiled up and the gigantic stalk of thunder bamboo absorbed and released heavenly thunder. A moment later, azure wind manifested within the golden light. Wherever the wind passed through, the sky was split apart.

This was Li Jingzhe's third resonance, a wind resonance.

He grasped his staff as he glared at Qin Jiujie before casually replying, "Dual crowned? That's unfortunate. I am actually just a little bit better than you."

When Qin Jiujie heard those words, his eyes shrunk and an inconceivable notion surfaced in his mind. He hurriedly lifted his head and looked at the sky above Li Jingzhe.

The imposing crowns floating above Li Jingzhe radiated an imperial might that could not be surpassed. It was then that he could sense a thin layer of energy flowing above the second crown. In fact, an illusory outline of a third crown emerged at this moment. Bang!

The appearance of the illusory crown caused everyone who was watching within the World End's River Region to feel absolute shock. Worldly natural energy surged and frothed as though it was expressing its worship for what was to come.
