Since the inside was too dark, I started by sending in a few firebirds, to illuminate the path for humans. Then went inside.
- Watch out for ice magic. Better keep some distance - I told them.
Their reaction was simple, they didn't follow me until I engaged with the first frost giant, causing a bit of ruckus, only then they started to slowly close the distance. All except Ki'rai who marched alongside me without fear.
I jogged a bit forward knowing that it's better to engage the bulk of their forces first, to make some space for her, since there would be magic attacks flying everywhere, and she might not be able to avoid all of that.
As soon as I reached the bigger space, I rushed forward at full speed and slammed to the first of the giants. Knocking him down with ease, and slashing his torso open even before he falls to the ground. He turned to smoke, and I landed on my feet, just to keep pressing on.
The firebirds I made before entered the space, and flew under the ceiling, providing more light.
All I needed was one clean shot, to kill one of them, which was easy with the help of shadow walk. They still unleashed a hellish blizzard on me, but only for a moment considering how fast I was cutting them down.
When I finished I noticed two things. Ki'rai having trouble while fighting with her group. Although she could avoid their attacks and most magic, she couldn't take down a single one. She was covered in frost, but still, kelt going.
The other thing was a bunch of people peaking inside the chamber from the tunnel. They looked like some kind of cartoon character in a movie for kids with only their heads visible.
I made some new firebirds, and send them to blast a few heads of the giants, this gave Ki'rai enough space, but since she still couldn't take down any of them, I went to help and finished off the last ones. Then I summoned a bunch of my shadows, to collect the score.
- I was doing fine - she pouted.
- I know. I saw - I smiled at her.

- You were always this strong? - asked Tihana as she got closer.
- No. The power of your friendship made me this powerful - I replied.
- Very funny - she gave me an irritated smile.
- You are incredible, Peter - said the colonel. - How do you think it will take my guys to reach this level?
- I don't know. Fifty years?
- Fifty years? - he was taken aback by my statement.
Even the soldiers were a bit shocked, although they tried to hide their emotions.
- You don't hunt as I did, and you won't, because there are not enough hunting grounds. I was hunting a whole day, every day for a long period of time, and this only accelerated. I used to cover four spots in a single day.
He nodded to my words, clearly thinking about something.
- But forget about that. There are too many people nowadays, and too few spots - I continued. - So your best bet is buying from the other hunters.
After I said that I turned around, and started heading forward.
It took us two hours to clear everything all the way to the stairs. Mostly because their walking pace was so slow. They couldn't catch up to me, even when I was constantly slowed down by the giants. Ki'rai gave up trying to engage with the fire ones. She was still not strong enough.
Then they had a little break, while I cleared the hall at the top of the mountain. I returned to take them there.
- Wow - said Tihana, mesmerized by the view through the many windows.
She could see a part of the mountain range, covered by smoke thanks to my active skill, and the raging wall of wind surrounding everything on the edge of the horizon.
Even the cold winds up there didn't discourage her from looking.
- This place is beautiful - said one of the soldiers.
- It looks like an apocalypse hit this world - said another.
The rest agreed with him.
- Too bad we can't take pictures. I would show them to my wife - said another.
- I'm going upstairs to kill the boss. If you want to watch, follow, but stay on the stairs -I informed them and started climbing my way.
They all approached the stairs, and some of them followed me.
- There is no handrail - said Tihana. - I'm not going there.
- I'll be your handrail - said some soldier. - Don't be scared.
I just couldn't not stop after hearing that. I slowly turned around.

Other guys laughed, and he got all red like a tomato.
I resumed my climb, shortly after reaching the top. Everything was just like I remembered it. Chad was sitting on his throne, surrounded by beautiful sculptures all around.
I got a bit closer, enough to get him into my reach, which made him tan up. I gathered quite a chunk of mana and blasted him from above with a pillar of scorching energy, that melted the floor and his throne.
- Ok! - I clapped in my hands, sending a bunch of shadows that crawled out of the floor to fetch me the crystal. - We are done here.
My magic again surprised the troops. I turned off the shadow fusion.
- Gather kid, it's time to end our trip! - I shouted to them, and they did gather.
Some of them were still in shock after what I just did.
We grabbed our hands, and with a single shadow walk, ended up in the city center.
- You got what you wanted. I hope you enjoyed it. Now... - I turned to Tihana, and Ki'rai - I think you two still have some training to do.
- Yes! - said Ki'rai.
Even the human girl was a bit more energetic after what she saw.
- Oh, and those are tours - I said to Ki'rai, summoning three shadows, that grabbed some crystals from the vault.
- Put them there - She said to the shadows, pointing at the closest vacant glyph.
I made them do what she told them and went to sell the rest of the score. I earned 20 860 000 points with the boss crystal counted in.
That was pretty much my whole day. I spent the rest of it sitting on some roof, writing, and watching them train in the sandpit.
The day came to an end with 24 401 029 points remaining on my account, and 21 class points.
