Chapter 173 Date with Mom Part 1
[: Daniel POV :] In the mystical realm of Modern Fantasia, there were countless Outer Zones that one could venture into.
But beyond these zones lay a place known as the Hell Zone - where Transcendent Monsters roamed free and danger lurked in every corner.
Nevertheless, I was ready to aid my mother in levelling up her levels, starting with the relatively safe Outer Zone.
"Is this the place, dear?" My mother's voice echoed as she surveyed the area; ominous creatures lurked around every bend.
"Yes, Mom," I reassured her, "this is where I will be helping with your level, Mom''
As she gazed around, her initial disbelief at finding herself in this particular location grew more pronounced. ''I never thought I would appear in this place and I could feel the atmosphere...and it feels suffocating'' The atmosphere weighed heavily upon her, a suffocating sensation that crept into her senses, causing her to furrow her eyebrows in a subtle display of concern.
The outer zone, she realized, was far from the ordinary farming grounds one might expect.
This was a place few dared to tread, a realm that even the most seasoned players, perhaps even those at the apex with a level of 999, would contemplate before venturing into its depths.
The multitude of monsters that littered the zone surpassed anything she had encountered previously with Cecilia.
"Then what should we do?"
Her mother's inquiry cut through the tense air, her impatience palpable as she eagerly anticipated the commencement of the hunt.
"Should we begin taking down these monsters?"
"Absolutely, we'll get to it, but let me handle the setup, Mom," I reassured.
"There's no need for you to do anything; just leave it all to me," I added, noticing her nod of agreement accompanied by a warm smile.
To be honest, there was no need to squander time hunting down the monsters. Handling them alone would be a walk in the park.
Besides, I was itching to put my recently fused 7 Bloodline skills to the test.
As I contemplated the abilities, a wide grin painted itself across my face, the anticipation to experiment with these newfound powers almost childlike.
It was akin to a kid eagerly awaiting the chance to play with their favourite toys.
Moments later, I decided to take a moment, closing my eyes as I concentrated, deliberately extending my aura throughout the entire expanse of the outer zone.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtIt was a deliberate act, an attempt to connect with the environment around me.
As I did, an overwhelming realization washed over me.
The vast number of monsters present in this zone was staggering.
It felt as if millions of them were roaming within its boundaries.
For the average player, just the levels of these creatures would be enough to induce sheer terror.
Their collective strength was daunting, with the monsters' average levels hovering around 800, while some had surpassed the formidable threshold of 900.
Each one of them represented a walking calamity, a force to be reckoned with.
However, instead of fear, a sense of determination and confidence settled within me.
As I continued to spread my aura, a few seconds sufficed for me to sense and accurately gauge the sheer quantity of these formidable monsters.
The realization hit me like a thunderclap – the number of monsters prowling in this outer zone tallied close to a staggering 100 million.
It was a revelation that should have been shielded from early disclosure in this phase of this world.
The clearance of an outer zone of this magnitude was not expected for at least another decade.
Yet here it was, a monumental achievement, making this the second zone cleared beyond all doubts.
As I absorbed the gravity of this accomplishment, I was keen for my mother to reap the benefits of this incredible feat.
My intentions didn't lean toward hoarding all the treasures for myself.
There were more outer zones that I could claim selfishly, yet the notion of sharing one or two with Mom and Cecilia didn't cause any hesitation.
However, amidst these considerations, thoughts of the loved ones I had yet to encounter lingered in my mind.
The sense of responsibility toward them nudged at my consciousness.
There was someone, 'her,' to whom I felt a compelling connection.
I contemplated revealing my presence to this significant person in my life.
However, I decided against it for the present.
Perhaps after the Tessera had declared its presence to the world?
A strategic decision to bide my time before making such significant personal revelations.
As I contemplated how to ensure my mother gained the utmost benefit from these 100 million monsters, I knew she needed to land the final blow.
The decision now lay in determining which skill from the Bloodline would be most advantageous.
Each skill had undergone numerous evolutions, mutations, and fusions, resulting in outstanding but unpredictable outcomes.
Yet, amidst this assortment of abilities, one skill stood out for the situation at hand.
The Divider Bloodline Skill had undergone an extensive evolution, culminating in the form of Scion of Divider (Mythic).
What was once categorized as an S rank had ascended into the echelons of Mythic Skill.
Throughout its many transformations, the skill's fundamental ability remained intact.
However, a particular facet of this ability had recently captured my attention, casting the skill in a new light.
This revelation led me to reconsider the potential applications and nuances of the Scion of Divider (Mythic).
It held a feature that hadn't been fully explored before, prompting a fresh perspective on its utility and untapped power.
[: Scion of Divider (Mythic) :] - Divide your enemy's prowess into half. Each Divide will last for one day and consumes 10,000 Mana -
- The Enemy prowess which had been divided can be transferred to either the Host or other Players temporarily for one day - - The Skill would absolutely work towards any living beings that have lower stats than the Host, any living beings that possess overall stats higher than the Host, more mana would be consumed - Despite not undergoing a huge alteration, the newfound aspect of the skill which is the capability to transfer divided prowess had struck me as astonishing.
Among all the evolved abilities, this particular enhancement stood out as my favourite.
Yet, it seemed that the conditions for this skill's operation had been altered, now it had changed to a consideration of overall stats.
Reflecting on the immense growth of my stats, bolstered by thousands of buffs, it was evident that individuals of the same level would hardly pose a challenge.
I didn't intend to sound overconfident, but for my upcoming plans, I see a lack of challenge from the future missions.
However, it was time to get to work.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAfter gauging the number of monsters inhabiting this outer zone, I made the decision to first reduce their collective strength by half.
It was a strategic move, an initial step to diminish the overwhelming prowess of the monsters present.
After all, Mom would have to deal the last blow and there was no way she could deal all of them with her strength.
And to add on, this was the fastest method that I could come up with. "Divide," I murmured under my breath, and in an instant, a brilliant golden glow emanated from within me.
It felt as though I'd transcended into an all-encompassing force, commanding the very essence of the world, a sensation undoubtedly owed to the might of the skill itself.
As the golden radiance enveloped the space, I could sense an immediate shift in the zone's atmosphere, and even my mother seemed to take notice. T
he very fabric of the environment underwent a profound transformation as if the very essence of the air had altered.
The monsters scattered throughout the zone reacted, their deafening roars resonating so intensely that the ground quivered beneath us.
It was evident they had perceived something unusual was unfolding, reacting to the sudden change in the surroundings.
As the monsters possessed human-like intelligence, they immediately began a concerted effort to locate the source of the phenomenon, striving to unravel and eliminate it.
With each divide I initiated, the atmosphere crackled with a sense of urgency as they endeavoured to discern the cause of their diminishing power.
The initial divide eradicated a colossal 10 trillion of Mana, yet in the grand scheme of my colossal mana, it merely felt like a droplet in the vast ocean.
Still, I continuously diminished their prowess until every aspect of their stats equated to that of a mere Level 1.
Despite the mind-boggling consumption of mana, surging well into trillions, possibly even quadrillions, it did little to drain my reserves.
Furthermore, my regeneration capabilities were exceptionally swift, allowing me to replenish the immense mana expenditure within mere seconds.
The ease with which I restored my energy would have astounded anyone, concealing the true extent of my capabilities.
I stood in the midst of the chaos, a surge of exhilaration coursing through me.
With a mere word, I wielded the power to bring these formidable monsters to their knees, effortlessly sapping their strength.
The air crackled with their palpable fear, a stark contrast to their initial quest to identify the source of the weakening.
Instead of seeking the root of the phenomenon, a sudden panic gripped them.
Frantically, they abandoned their search and, driven by a primal instinct to escape the consequences of their diminishing might, they scattered, desperately seeking a way out without incurring the wrath of the entity responsible for their weakening.
