Chapter 1616 Gaia
Upon hearing Osvaldo's words, Selena felt as if she could fly to the heavens. She was about to speak when Leia suddenly
approached them. "Madam, your phone," Leia said.
Leia had been squatting in a nearby corner, her face full of confusion as she pondered whether Selena was indeed the "Sacred
Pearl." She wanted to give the couple sprivacy but then heard Selena's phone ringing and didn't want to delay any important
matters.
Selena took the phone and saw Stanley's number flashing on it. She pressed the answer button and said, "Stanley."
Osvaldo's expression darkened slightly. Childhood sweethearts were always troublesome!
He watched as Selena spoke a few words into her phone before looking up at him. "My cousin will most likely be coming to the
capital in three days... I'll meet with Stanley this afternoon to discuss things further."
Osvaldo ruffled Selena's hair affectionately before leading her into their car.
Having resolved something that had been weighing heavily on her mind for a long time, Selena felt particularly good and radiant
on their way back home.
Within half an hour of this conversation taking place, everyone who needed to know within the capital knew that Selena was
indeed the owner of Sacred Pearl.
With so many experts from Lab 717 personally visiting their research institute and The Turner family openly questioning Central
City... with these two events happening first, it would be impossible for District Six or even their research institute itself to suppress
anything related to Sacred Pearl anymore.
Since they couldn't suppress it anyway, they might as well make it bigger by revealing its true value publicly and dominating public
opinion instead. Central City would not dare lay hands on someone who had such high status now that it had been exposed.

And with this revelation can instant uproar throughout the capital.
As for Miss Turner - no one dared say anything more about her within all of the capital.
People at that level were no longer people they were qualified enough even talk about!
Many of the people who had previously been enemies with the Turner family only realized now that Selena was actually quite
merciful towards them. With her status, it would only take a word from her to destroy any one of these opposing families.
How could they have been so foolish as to go against this little princess?
The owner of Sacred Pearl, originally from H country and now the director of H country's research institute, was an unexpected
surprise that caused chaos in various fields once again.
Selena didn't pay attention to how others viewed this matter. After lunch, Osvaldo took her to find Stanley.
When Selena entered the estate, Stanley was sitting in the garden brewing tea.
After looking around and seeing only Stanley there, she asked, "Where are Black Crow and White Crow?"
The underground vaccine had already been successfully developed and Black Crow and White Crow were fine. They stayed with
Stanley to prepare for Selena's return to Central City.
Stanley smiled slightly as he poured a cup of clear tea for Selena. "I sent them back to the empire first so they can make
preparations.”
Selena paused for a moment before her eyes suddenly lit up. "Stanley... is it because..."
She had too few people she could rely on in Capital City.
Lillian caggressively at such a tbut Stanley still let Black Crow and White Crow leave; naturally he must have determined
that Lillian could no longer threaten her safety anymore.
Stanley gently smiled. "Your Majesty, your father and mother already know about your existence openly now; they won't allow
Lillian or anyone else harm you anymore."
Selena's slender fingers trembled slightly - Stanley wouldn't say something like this without reason.
Only he had received snews.
Selena looked at him expectantly.
But Stanley didn't tell her directly. "Wait a few days, Miss Lillian will personally tell you and you'll be even happier."
Selena breathed a sigh of relief, and her black eyes showed the colors of longing and hope.
She tilted her face slightly upwards, looking at the sky over the empire.
Although Osvaldo had taken good care of her during the year she was away from home, she still suffered a lot.
Before this moment, Selena never felt wronged before. But when she regained the protection of her parents again, she felt tears
welling up in her eyes.
She was truly a princess who grew up in a castle. The entire empire treated her with utmost tenderness and care. Except for those
few days when she was kidnapped as a child, Selena never experienced any hardship or injustice throughout her life until this past
year where she experienced death and another girl's dark suppressed life. She also went through various power struggles that
involved scheming... except for Osvaldo who protected her because he understood what kind of person Selena is like inside out -
from start to engagement banquet - no one else did so willingly without any ulterior motives or personal gain attached to it.
In fact only parents can be relied on without any psychological burden before marriage for girls like Selena.
Stanley watched as Selena smiled but with tears in his eyes; his expression becsomewhat sad too.
He knew that she had suffered a lot and been wronged in the past year. If he had found her earlier and not let her wander outside,
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmshe would still be the empress, with clean clothes and no sorrow in her eyes. No one would dare to make her suffer.
"Your Majesty... I'm sorry," Stanley said softly.
Selena snapped out of her thoughts when she heard Stanley's words, shook her head, and smiled. "Stanley, I'm glad."
Since her father had taken action, it wouldn't be just a small matter. She believed that he would clear all obstacles for her and
bring her back to the empire openly.
Stanley looked at the beautiful face of the young girl with a smile on his lips. "Everything will be better when we get home."
Selena also smiled with anticipation in hers. "Mm-hmm."
Stanley handed Selena tea before telling her about recent events happening in their empire while Selena listened quietly for quite
stbefore looking up at him.
Frowning at the way she was looking at him so seriously for the first tever made Stanley ask: "What's wrong Selena?"
She remained silent for a moment longer than usual before saying: "Stanley, can you helpfind someone when we return to our
empire?"
Having an idea of what this might mean already made Stanley sigh deeply before asking: "Your Majesty... what are you
suspecting?"
This tSelena was silent even longer than before but then shook his head slowly as if unsure herself: "I'm not sure yet but Black
Crow and White Crow have probably told you something about him."
"I have been investigating A for a long time, but so far, there has been no news. | have the ability to completely erase someone's
trace under A's intelligence network... Only one force can do it... The Riddle Group Empire!" Selena hung her head, concealing her
emotions. "Even with the all-seeing eye of 'God's Love,’ they couldn't make Ace of Hearts cback empty-handed. They
exhausted all means and still found nothing.
But there was one exception.
The "Gaia" guarding the empire."
