Be Your Lover Forever (Alicia)

The doctor's kind advice was like thorns, pricking Lindsay's heart. Immediately, she slammed her palms against the bed as she threw a fit.

"Go away! You quack! You're a murderer who killed my child! Get out of here!" Lindsay grabbed the pillow on the side and threw it at the doctor.

As the doctors and nurses backed away slowly, they shook their heads exasperatedly. Most of the guests in the VIP ward were wealthy, arrogant, and hard to serve. They were used to it already and this was nothing new to them.

The doctor left her with spieces of advice before leaving the ward.

As soon as Lindsay raised her head, she saw Jeremy at the door. She calmed down and cried, "Jeremy, our baby is gone-" Lindsay wept sorrowfully. At this moment, she was crying "My child and my closest family are gone! Dad doesn't want me, my mother ran away, and now even my own child is gone! You don't wantanymore too; I have nothing else left!" Lindsay was getting really sad and emotional. Nerissa pulled on her arms as she comforted her, "Sis, you still have me!" Lindsay's past had been very pitiful and sympathetic, which was also why Jeremy developed feelings for her in the beginning. He thought that it was really tough on her to stay kind-hearted when she had been raised in a family like that. Jeremy wanted to protect her and give her support.

However, Jeremy never would've guessed that beneath Lindsay's kind appearance, she had such a cruel heart. The truth of everything had shocked him to the core.

At this moment, he wondered if there were more secrets about her past. Just how much of her words were true? Even though his child was gone, Jeremy didn't even feel heartbroken for a single second.

At this moment, he even felt fortunate and relieved! Lindsay was so terrifying that he felt pressured.

Soon, the medicine began to take effect and Lindsay dozed off. Jeremy did not leave the room but he didn't say a word the whole time.

When Alicia had free time, she returned to her mother's house as she thought of the butterfly earrings that Lindsay had mentioned.

After finishing the day's work, when Alicia was packing her bag, she saw the brocade box inside. She opened it and smiled as she gazed at the earrings as she subconsciously touched her ears gently. "I still like butterflies! But, this butterfly is no longer the sbutterfly!" She had nothing to do with him anymore! After closing the brocade box, Alicia looked for Jeremy's company's address as she planned to mail it on her way back.

She looked at the sunset outside the window as she stretched her body and there was a hint of warmth in her eyes. It actually felt pretty good to have a home! If things would go on like this.

She shook her head and snapped out of it. She then picked up her bag, took the car key, and headed out happily. Just as she walked down the stairs of the building, a light gray figure cinto her vision. Alicia stopped and she subconsciously clenched the bag in her hand before taking the initiative to walk toward the figure.

They looked at each other but they seemed like they had been separated from each other for a very long time. There was no feeling of love remaining in Alicia's heart anymore. The good memories they shared had turned into a dream which Alicia had woken up from. When she had woken up, the dream had ended as well.

However, Jeremy felt the exact opposite. This was because after the two of them fell in love with each other up until the end of those three years, he had been suppressing his own feelings every single day.

He wanted to hurt her but he couldn't help caring about her. He wanted to forget about her but he couldn't make up his mind to actually do it, like the clothes that he was unwilling to throw away Currently, even the reasons that used to support him and gave him strength have gone. The obsessions in his heart then began to grow and spread rapidly.

There was no doubt that he loved Alicia; they once fell in love wholeheartedly and that was not questionable. She was the one and only perfect partner for him, and he never doubted it.

It was until Lindsay told him that the real reason Alicia insisted on having sex after marriage was that Alicia had an abortion before. Lindsay told him that she had a great life all these years. But, she went to work in a nightclub to fulfill her luxurious needs and she had been with different men- Initially, he had tried to avoid everything that was related to her; he was afraid that he could not help coming back. However, according to the information that Lindsay purposely revealed to him and because she had deliberately acted like Alicia as she stayed beside him, Jeremy began to develop feelings for Lindsay, whom he had no grudges against. Before that day, he still trusted her fully even though he didn't love her. Though he regretted that he didn't break up with her, he would still never hurt her! He never would've thought that the truth would slap him in the face.

It seemed like thad frozen. The two stared at each other blankly without saying a word, just like they had before. It was also unlike the two of them back then; there were a lot of things that had changed since then.

"I have-" "Lindsay-" They spoke almost at the stand then stopped talking simultaneously too. After a while, Jeremy spoke first, "Lindsay lost her child!" Alicia's eyes went round as she was shocked and a hint of sadness flashed across her face.

No matter how much she hated Lindsay, the child was innocent. She never thought of hurting the child!

Jeremy forced a smile on his face - Alicia was still the sperson as she had always been. She always appeared cold but she was actually a very warm and caring person. She had always been kind and that was the truth. It was he himself who had been wrong about her.

In the past, when she was with him, she had complained more than once that she was mistreated because of her beautiful appearance, which made her sad. Even though she was O harsh, arrogant, and even overbearing sometimes, she had never taken the initiative to cause trouble for others. Back then, she had been loud and lively, hoping that the world would witness her beauty. At present, she was quiet and serene but she was still as charming as ever, appearing even more attractive. Alicia did not want to fake her worry for Lindsay, therefore she opened her bag and handed him the earrings. "I should've returned this to you long ago." Alicia didn't give Jeremy a chance to refuse, she took his hand and stuffed the earrings into his hand.
