| knew Atlas seemed cold on the outside, but deep down, he was warm-hearted. He cherished family above all else.
Perhaps family love was something scarce in his life. In the Pierce family, it was practically non-existent, which explained his
distant attitude toward his grandfather.
All they showed toward their kin was indifference and cruelty.
As | looked at the elderly woman before me, | softly called out, "Sandy."
She instantly broke down, embracingonce again. "Ms. Stella, you've grown up so much! I'm so happy that | get to see you
again.”
| felt choked up too, and | was deeply regretting not remembering anything. | hated not understanding her significance in my life.
Atlas quickly pulledaway, telling the nanny, "You say you're not old? You cry at the drop of a hat. That's a sign of ageing."
Sandy chuckled at his words. "You just wantto get old, don’t you?”
"You still have kids to take care of, so don't make her cry. She's pregnant now.” Atlas sounded somewhat smug.

Her mouth was agape as she looked at me, then at my abdomen. "Y-You two are really together? And with a kid on the way?”
Atlas shrugged, spreading his hands. "I made sure to find my wife. You've always known that she would be my wife."
Perhaps it was this statement, or maybe the nanny saw our joyful expressions, or she learned about my pregnancy, but she
suddenly burst into dance.
Her slightly plump body swayed, lifting our spirits. | couldn't help but smile broadly. She was a unique elderly woman.
All the anxiety | had felt along the way disappeared in that moment.
Atlas was also amused by Sandy's dance. He squinted his eyes and said, "Sandy, we're hungry."
Instantly, the nanny froze in her tracks, as if someone had pressed the pause button. In the next moment, she vanished into the
wind.
Atlas laughed like a child, embracingand kissing me. "Our hused to be so carefree and joyful."
| looked at him, trying hard to recall those scenes, but my mind was still blank.
"Really?" | concealed my disappointment and pretended to be happy.
Before long, Sandy cout again, informing us that dinner was ready. There wasn't much food on the table, but it was
surprisingly delicious.
| didn't feel nauseous at all. Sandy stood beside me, urgingto eat quickly.
"You sit too, and let's eat together," | said to her.
"I'll watch you eat. Eat and see if it still tastes the same." She gestured, her tone sincere and eager.
Atlas looked atwarmly, saying, "Go ahead. See if you like the taste."
Sandy nodded eagerly. "Try it."
"It’s so delicious!" | couldn't help but exclaim.
Sandy laughed joyfully, "These were your favorite vegetables."

My favorite vegetables?
| looked at Atlas, seeking confirmation.
Atlas nodded. "You loved them when you were a child."
He then picked up a piece of toast and put it in front of me, indicating that | should try it.
| picked it up with my hand, took a small bite, and exclaimed, "Is this cinnamon toast?”
Sandy nodded eagerly.
"It's so good to be back." | smiled, choking up.
"Yes, so we should look forward to the better things in life. Look, we cback, didn't we?" Atlas said it with deep emotion.
| grinned. "Let's eat."
That meal becmy strongest memory, even though | couldn't remember anything else. Sandy toldso much about my food
preferences back then.
We talked so much over the meal that it was already late at night by the twe stood up.
