The woman held Keng for quite a while. He cried and cried and eventually the two of them found themselves on the floor. She let him rest on her leg as she studied him. She recalled her orders from the Angel Saint leaders.
Lady Freya had summoned her. The Angel Saints had heard whispers about the God King visiting them. They all wished to greet him but he wanted to speak to the leaders, alone.
Lady Freya and Lord B'haru faced each other as they quietly finished a conversation. They noticed the woman step in and turned to greet her.
"Weiss." Lord B'haru nodded at her.
"Thank you for coming so soon. I know you were tasked on another assignment." Lady Freya apologized for the sudden summon. "God King Dathro has come to see us and he has special orders for you."
"For me?" Weiss asked. They both nodded at her. The large God King towered behind them. She hadn't noticed him until now. Weiss immediately bowed. "God King, I didn't see you there. A pleasant surprise to be in your Holiness' presence once again."
"You do not have to go to such lengths to greet me, my child. Rise. I have much to discuss with you." God King spoke. Weiss rose as Lord B'haru and Lady Freya stepped to the side, bowing as the God King passed.
"I've come here today to request you do something for me, Weiss." The God King told her. "I want you to aid one of the Savior leaders. He will be tested by Jyu'so and you need to be in the test to help him."
"How would I do that, God King? W-we have ethereal bodies that cannot be seen so easily to those below." Weiss asked, stuttering.
"I will personally grant you access to returning to the world below. You will be taske death fighting him so Jyu'so can assess his capabilities. I want you to fight him, but guage his mentality and emotions. Watch for anything out of the ordinary and deal with it however you can.
"You'll understand what I mean when meet him. You'll know what to do then. Will you do this for me, Weiss?" The God King asked.
"Y-yes, m'lord. I will do all that I can for you." Weiss bowed.

"I think I understand what I have to do now." She moved her hand to Keng's heart. She put a claw mark and watched as it began to shimmer.
Nothing was coming out but she could feel the energy pulling from within.
'Its faint but his connection is still there.' She listened to the energy vibrations for a while longer. 'Its giving off a certain frequency vibe… Almost like–'
Her fingers started to feel a burning feeling. She removed her hand away from Keng and watched as silver flames ignited, letting out a puff of fire as it slowly covered Keng.
'He's asleep, right? His body reacted like I was going somewhere I wasn't supposed to be.' She quickly removed her leg from underneath Keng's head. His head hit the ground, waking him as he looked at Weiss stand and pat flames out.
"W-what happened?" Keng asked. He sat up, rubbing his eyes and feeling the way embrace of the flames on his chest. He looked down and patted them out. "Did something happen?"
'His body is wired to trigger these responses on its own. He doesn't seem bothered by it either. I wonder…'
"Did you ignite those flames?" Weiss asked. Keng shook his head no.
"I didn't. Why?" He asked. "What were you doing with me?"
"I was peering into your Spirit and after a while it triggered the flames."
"What were you looking for?" Keng asked. He stood up and stretched. "I thought others couldn't peer into someone else's Spirit."
"If you're not trained for it, you can't." Weiss answered. "Look kid, we've had similar experiences even though it's completely different. I learned I could Spiritually understand people and their energies. That's what I was trained for. I could faintly feel the other one." She pointed at his chest.
"You could feel him?" He repeated. "How? We're Realms apart." Weiss took a step forward and pointed at Keng.
"I think you could have the same knack for this sort of thing if you trained, but enough of that. The test isn't done. You have to show me what you're capable of right now." Weiss told him.
"Look, lady, I don't know if I'm capable of anything. I'm not in the best–"
"My name's Weiss." Weiss abruptly introduced herself. "I'm one of the Angel Saints who was sent here to assess your capabilities. Give me 1 minutw. I just need 1 minute from you. If you can show me everything you're capable of in a minute, we'll be done and I won't mess with your Spirit anymore."
Keng thought about it for a while. He didn't know what to say to that. He didn't really want to show her anything else since she had looked into his Spirit. He didn't have his bead there but it was strange to him.
"Letting someone see your Spirit is an invasion of privacy. Why should I go along with what you want to do?" Keng asked.
"If you don't then you'll just be sleeping forever." Weiss answered.
"What if I just want to sleep?"
"You don't want to save Lee Seng from whatever prison he's in?" Weiss looked at him. She shrugged. "Fine, you can let him be. Sleep here forever in this infinite wasteland and see where that gets you." She started to turn.
"Wait! That's not what I meant!" Keng shouted.
"But you just said you didn't wan–"
"I didn't mean it like that! I want out of here! I don't want to think about what I need to do to save him, alright?!? I wish I could separate myself from him but I can't! He's too important like that?"
The daggers caught her attention. They were moved and sat on the table. They were resonating.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm"You want to help but you don't want to help? Why? You're gonna leave him be but not leave him be? You're being very indecisive, Savior." Weiss turned and raised her hand up at him. A sword appeared in her hand as she pointed it straight at him.
"You can't have the best of both worlds. It's impossible. You must walk the path you choose and stick to it or else you learn nothing. You've some nothing but be indecisive." Weiss took a step forward, watching the daggers from the corner of her eyes.
"Will you be indecisive when the day comes you have to disappear? When whatever is happening to Lee Seng fully severs your connection? You know what happens when a Fox Spirit severs their connection with their vessel, right?" Weiss asked.
'A monster.' Keng thought.
"Correct, a monster. And you know what happens to your vessel if you sever the connection?" Keng shook his head no. He had knowledge about the sort of things that might occur but he wasn't fully in the loop of what happened. "They become a monster and the both of you fight to the death until one lives. Then that one becomes strong and creates chaos and destruction in its wake. Do you want that for both of you? For him?"
The daggers shook harder.
'He's resonating with them already and he hasn't really used them. Could he be the owner of those daggers?' Weiss thought. Keng bundled his fists.
'A monster. We'll turn into monsters and kill each other until one of us is left…' Keng's jaw tightened.
"Fine," he looked up. "One minute?"
"One minute." Weiss nodded. She pointed at the daggers. "Grab them." Keng looked to where she was pointing and noticed the sounds of rattling. He moved to the table and grabbed them. The daggers resonated in his hands as he twirled them. The symbol of the Moon caught his attention.
"The moon. Just like the door." He studied the daggers closer. The blade was made out of some sort of blue metal. The metal seemed to move like water. He rubbed his eyes, thinking he had just saw them wrong, but they continued to move.
"A gift from Lady Hydran." Weiss explained.
"Lady Hydran?"
"Goddess of the Waters, Moon, and Fertility. Lady Hydran's god weapon. It's name holds power and it's form changed for you. A god weapon doesn't change for those unworthy."
"But why would it change for me?" Keng asked. "I'm Vox'su's chosen."
"But you're the weapon's master." Weiss pointed at him with her sword. She readied herself and rolled her arm. "Come, let's fight for one whole minute. In that one minute, show me what you can do. Show me what you're capable of Savior Keng, Vox'su's Chosen one and wielder of Lady Hydran's god weapon, Hydrosphere. Let's fight."
