Keng grabbed one of the large sticks and lit it with his energy. He watched it turn to flames and quickly lowered it into the bundle of sticks. The campfire officially started and Keng nodded, satisfied.
"All I need to do now is skin this and roast it." Keng whispered. He grabbed his sack and pulled out a skinning knife. Gorrum had gifted him one since he "didn't want Keng to use Hydrosphere as a skinning knife." Keng didn't know that there were different types of knives for different things. "Kitchen knives, skinning knives, knives for fighting, knives for throwing. There's a lot of knives."
He skinned the rabbit with ease. General Halys had taught him how to skin and cut meat. Gorrum was surprised he could do it and praised him for it. He cut the mole-rabbit meat into small portions and stuck them on leftover sticks he had. He put them in the small dugout spots and let the fire do the rest of the work as he washed his hands with his flask.
"This will last the night." Keng whispered. "I'll have to find some water around here. I thought I heard one back there… I'll grab some tomorrow. It's getting dark and I don't want to meet anything nasty." He waited for his food to cook, rotating it occasionally. He pulled a large book out and opened it. It was a journal given to him by Nabi. She had encouraged him to write in the journal so he could tell Lee Seng all of his journeys when they reunited.
Day 64
I did some more Sight sensory training. I'm getting the hang of it now. Sir Gorrum and Elder Jyu'so made me go hunting, again. I came across the Majestic. Y'know, that deer/moose thing I mentioned like… a couple weeks ago? Well, I found it, again, and I've decided I'm going to hunt it. Maybe it can bring good fortune to me and I can somehow figure out how to apologize to Lily for what I did.
I wonder if you're doing alright, Lee. I know where you are because of the Soul Connection, but I don't know what you're doing. I wonder if you feel me, too. I have to stay here for two years. Two Daros Years, I should specify. Apparently Cycles and Years are different.
1 Year is about 1/4 a Cycle.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt1 Cycle is 2 Earth years.
So I guess that means 2 years is only 1/2 a Cycle. *There's a scribble of a laughing face that Keng drew here.*
Two years will go by and it'll be a whole year before I see you again.
Keng's eyes move off of the journal entry and onto his mole-rabbit meat.
"Crap, I forgot about you guys!" Keng shouted. He pulled one off and noticed it was crispier than he wanted it to be. He quickly pulled the rest off and set them on a random cloth he had in his backpack. "I don't have utensils or plates so I'll eat like this."
He dug into the mole-rabbit meat. It tasted pretty delicious. It scarfed them down and the next thing he knew, he was throwing the sticks into the flames. Oil from the sticks sizzled as he grabbed his flask and drank enough of it. He had a little bit left for the morning.
'This should get me by.' Keng thought. He set the flask to the side and grabbed his writing utensil. It was some sort of chalk-pencil hybrid thing. Gorrum had tried to explain to him that it was a writing utensil, but it wasn't the greatest writing utensil. It would get him by for his journal entries. He let out a sigh and got to writing.
Day 65
Elder Jyu'so pulled me aside today and told me I should go visit the Shaman. That lady who came into my dreams and pulled me out of it. Well, I went to see her and I got these energy drinks. They're a mixture of Lunar Belles, Aloe Vera, and Xyl Vines from the blue trees around the Tomb! (I saw some of the Xyl Vines so I took some.)
Well, the Shaman determined I had condensed energy between me eyes (just above my nose) and gave me this Lunar Belle, Aloe Vera, Xyl Vine paste drink to down. I drank the blue liquid and it didn't taste… so bad I guess. I have to drink this thing for the next couple of weeks until I leave for Pea'ir with the Elder.
The Shaman told me to visit her before I leave, so I guess I'll be doing that.
OH! I almost died today! (Keng put a smiley face here.)
I found the Majestic again! Crazy, right?!? I didn't think I would! I chased it and I learned a couple of things:
1. It's fast. Like super fast! I had to use my enhanced speed to even barely catch up to it… Well, I didn't use all of it so I guess that's on me… I'll try harder next time I find it!
2. It can erase its presence! I was following its steps and music through the forest and lost it! The music and steps disappeared from my ears and eyes! I thought I spotted it and followed it but I was only met with running off of a cliff!
OH! Y'know how I mentioned about the Magical Rewrite? Energy Trickster? Yeah, well I officially used one of the skills today! I know, I know. I told you I wouldn't use it because I wouldn't be able to actually level it, but I had to! I was about to run off a cliff so I marked a spot via speaking the skill and viola! I spoke it again and landed on my ass… It hurt. A lot. T_T
Well, I got lost because I tried to follow that thing and came across a weird open area of broken forest. Did some fight happen here? I don't really remember what fight, but I feel like it had to do with the curse.
Anywho, I found it and decided since I can't use my trusty magical map because I'm so out of range of the map's area, I hunted a mole-rabbit thing and made camp for the night. Here's to trying to get some rest! (Keng drew a person lifting a glass up in the air)
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmI hope you're doing well, Lee. I miss you. I wish I could come see you, but I need to get stronger.
Keng closed the journal and put his chalk-pencil and journal in his sack. He clumped some clothes he left in the sack together and used it as a pillow. Keng stared up into the night sky. The stars twinkled so bright. The wind was calming.
'I'll definitely come back to you. Once my time here is done, I'll come back.' Keng smiled. He closed his eyes and fell asleep…
Keng stood in a dark space. He looked around as a spotlight lit up in the distance. Someone stood underneath it, not moving. He moved over to see who it was and a dark humanoid shape stood underneath it. As Keng came closer, he noticed the humanoid was a young man. The young man wore a dirtied t-shirt and a ripped black leather jacket. He wore torn blue jeans and had messy blond hair.
"H-hello?" Keng called out. He began to reach out when the torn young man turned. Keng gasped as Lee Seng looked at him. "L-Lee? W-w-what happened to you? A-are you okay?" He started to move forward when Keng raised his eyes high enough to reveal the purple irises. Lee Seng let out a scoff.
"What happened to me?!?" Lee Seng angrily growled. "Where were you when I needed you?!? Look at what happened to us because you left me! You didn't come back and I suffered so much!" He slammed his fist into his chest. The sound reverberated around the space. "And now both of them will be let out because you ran off to Daros."
Keng watched as Lee Seng's body rippled. A wicked grin grew on his face as his tails erupted out from behind him. The, once white, tails turned black and red. His purple eyes glowed brighter as his clothes began to burn off. Horns shot out of his head and the Dark Matter skintight suit wrapped around him.
"And now you'll die!" The distorted Lee Seng shouted.
'N-No!' Keng tried to shout. His mouth was shut and his body wouldn't move. The demonic fox rushed at Keng, slashing at him before he tackled Keng onto the ground.
"All your fault! All your fault! All your fault!" The distorted Lee Seng shouted. He continued to tear into Keng. "Die!" The demonic fox plunged his hand into Keng's chest. Keng gasped as the demonic fox lifted the Soul orb out of Keng's chest.
"And now I have both the power of the Protocol and the Fox Spirit on my side." Another voice giggled. The demonic fox Lee Seng swallowed the Soul orb and Keng watched as Lee Seng began to glow.
"Argh!" The demonic fox groaned. HIs head ripped off as blood shot everywhere. Keng's blurry vision and fear grew louder as a dark shadow pulled itself away from the demonic fox.
"His body is mine. Your powers are mine." Eleven smiled. "And now deimons will rule every realm with your help! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"
