Chapter 860 Chapter 860 Miracle Boy
"WOW! That was something else for a first points in the WBF! A quick steal leading off to a magnificent bomb down the end! Welcome to the league, Sean Evans!"
Announcer Ray exploded in praise after the initial shock has elapsed. The dome roared in a deafening shout for 3 seconds straight because of that awesome dunk.
Even the fans from the Legendary Minutemen could not help but applaud in the act.
It was after all not everyday to see someone of our bored gamer's category spank the ball through the rim with absolute vehemence.
"Hehehe. That dunk sure felt good on me." Clark smiled as he enjoyed the adoration of the crowd.
Although it was merely a short lived one but he planned to have more points in the floor in no time. He was not going to stop for only one.
"You were lucky with that steal. It won't happen again." A salty man spoke near our very own protagonist. This was the guard who lost his handle in the ball earlier.
His name was Christian Pierce.
"Only time can tell." Our bored gamer replied briefly. The game resumed immediately thereafter and both Clark and Christian Pierce were once again facing one another.
The latter choose to dribble towards our good gamer and that was a dumb mistake on his part. He could have passed the ball but has instead decided to poke an angry bear.
"DING!" A nimble hand reached in and went out with the ball already on its possession.
It passed through the back of our bored gamer and within a half breath, Clark was already running towards the ring.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtWith only less than 10 feet from the goal, the rest of the way was basic.
"BANG!" What followed was another hulking dunk that betrayed the diminutive size of its dealer.
Another explosive stunt was made successfully and it has gotten a few believers in the end.
"Sean Evans! I love this guy!"
"I should get an autograph from him later on!"
"Way to go, man! Keep it up! Slaughter these minutemen!"
.
..
...
"We got four easy points from Sean Evans! I believe that the 10 day contract has been well justified with this act alone. Even if he could not make a miracle comeback tonight, i believe that he will have a long wonderful journey ahead of him in our league!"
Bill commented at what he witnessed.
"As do i, Bill. The lead has been cut off to 40 but that remains a sizable lead for the Legendary Minutemen. It's a pity that Sean Evans has entered the game for far too late."
Ray shook his head at this time. The current score was 94 to 134.
Everyone had different opinions but the atmosphere on the court was an all nother matter entirely.
"Good job, Sean!" Luis Bell Jackson stopped calling our good gamer as a kid since he never wanted to be called as one in consequence also.
He was perhaps the only soul who knew about the unbelievable skills of this newbie on the court.
"It's nothing significant at all. They're just not paying enough attention to me." Clark shrugged in nonchalance and he proved his words after the timeout was done and over.
He got 3 more steals and all of them was converted into 9 points in mere seconds of play.
"This is not possible!" The lone victim of the harassment wanted to cry but he had no tears for the act.
It was natural for someone to steal from him but to do it on him for 5 consecutive times was absolutely absurd!
"Pierce! Don't tie yourself up with the kid. Move the ball around and we'll be fine. What can he do with only 3 minutes on the clock?"
A teammate of Christian Pierce gave sound advice on the court. Alas, he had vastly underestimated the observation prowess of our good gamer.
"STEAL!"
"And another one!"
"Then some more!"
"What the duck am i watching?!" The thousands of audience in the arena plus the announcers were all dumbstruck as they witnessed something that has never been done before.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmAt the last minute of the game, the score has totally turned upside down.
"A perfect fade away 3 pointer from Sean Evans! And with that, they had taken the lead for the first time in the game! 135 to 134 ladies and gentlemen! Yet the man just would not stop!"
Ray shouted his lungs out. He was hyped to see his furthest wish come true and he was not alone in this sentiment. Everybody loves an underdog after all.
"DING!" The last whistle of the game sounded and one could see our good gamer being hugged by full ass grown up men in the middle.
With how small his size was, it was indeed a funny scene to watch. Nevertheless, this much needed win has turned around everyone's opinion about the newbie in their midst.

"Congratulations on your win! You scored 50 points, had 15 steals, and zero turnovers. How does it feel to have a perfect game in your 1st game ever in the WBF, Sean?"
A beautiful reporter asked in the post game interview.
"I feel great! I always loved this team and the sport and i can't wait to score more in the coming games." Clark grinned at the woman.
"What you did was nothing short of a miracle tonight, Sean. I applaud you for that.
What i just can't wrap my mind around was how you suddenly turned into this perfect player from a mere high school sub that was not judged worthy enough to play in an official match before. This kind of leap just does not happen in real life!"
Another reporter asked next. This time it was a man with thick glasses on his face. It was obvious that he was a serious guy and he took this job with utmost professionalism.
"I don't know. I've always been shy and vulnerable before. I got no confidence whatsoever.
Maybe the incident of me getting kicked out from the school has made vast changes into my psyche. It made me stronger. That's for sure." Clark wisely sidestepped this question with a lie.
He knew that he still got family and friends whom he will have to face later on.
