Chapter112

“Don’t push it too far,” Antowarned.

He was in the wrong, yet he toldnot to push it too far. At that moment, | found him both pathetic and

laughable.

“Sign the divorce papers, and these videos won't make it to court,” | said.

| saw his eyes widen in disbelief. | couldn't tell if he was more shocked by my determination to get a divorce or

by my threat to release the videos.

My situation leftno tto ponder.

| rushed to the hospital's printing station, printed a hard copy of the divorce papers, and laid them out in front of

Antonio.

“Sign it now. Then you can be with her properly,” | said.

Antograbbed my hand. “You know | had a thing with her before. | was weak and made mistakes, but | still

love you. | don’t want a divorce. Please, Grace, don’t throw away all these years.”

| stared into his face, recalling our early marriage days.

When Antofirst started at this hospital, we had nothing. He proposed, and without a second thought, | moved

from my city to his.

At that time, | could tell he genuinely cared aboutjust by the way he looked at me. But now, all | saw were

cold

calculations in his eyes.

I knew | was right, especially when | noticed the faint love bites left by another woman on his neck. He was just

shameless, beggingby bringing up the past.

“Antonio, | know better than anyone how you truly feel about

1. me. If you don’t sign today, I'll file a lawsuit. This marriage is over for me.”

Only after finishing speaking did | notice Eloise behind Antonio.

With a pitiful expression, she looked atand said to Antonio, “I'm sorry, Antonio. | was being naive. | thought |

could stay by your side and love you while your marriage stayed intact. But now your wife wants a divorce.

“I didn’t see this coming. I'm sorry, I'll leave.”

Then she turned to leave, tears streaming, but Antoheld her back firmly.

“Fine, let's divorce! Do you really think you scare me?” Antoshot back, his voice tinged with resolve.

He scrawled his signature on the divorce papers and then dragged Eloise away.

Eloise’s face was filled with triumph.

A few tears, and she got exactly what she wanted.

In the past, | would have been devastated, but watching Antosign, | felt nothing but relief. Jarvis stood by my

side, eyeing the divorce papers in my hand.

“Don’t dwell on it. He's a jerk, not worth your tears,” Jarvis said, handinga tissue despite his words.

| took it, blew my nose, and smiled before heading back to the ward. “You sure about this?” he asked.

“Absolutely,” | replied.

| closed the door and had a peaceful sleep, free from the nightmares of being abandoned by someone I loved.

The next morning, | received a special notification. It was Eloise’s post-“Finally found my love and also nailed my

PhD!"
