“How could you give Ron’s number to her?” Keira scolded Hayden. “I'm telling you, Lena will actually go through

with this idea.”

He chuckled, massaging Keira’s legs as he replied “Between Lena and Aaron, one’s an ostrich and the other's a

slow mule. Even though Aaron has made his move, he’s still treading cautiously, afraid of scaring her off, so he's

not making any bold moves yet.”

“If it hadn't been for Nate, Aaron probably would've spent his entire life as a silent admirer. Now that he’s finally

confessed, he needs another push to speed things up.”

Hayden's analysis was so well-constructed that Keira couldn’t argue. But she cared more about what Lena

wanted. “What about Lena? Her rejection makes sense. To everyone else, Aaron is her uncle. If they got together,

people would gossip and call them cursed by the heavens.

Even though Keira often joked about her and Aaron, she understood the societal barriers and emotional burdens

they would face.

“Aaron has already started paving the way for this,” Hayden said. “He'll protect her from any fallout. As for Lena,

“And if | do? What will you do about it?” Keira looked up at him innocently.

“What do you think?”

Her hand continued to roam up his chest, tracing the lines of his muscles. “I have no idea.”

“Really? No idea at all?” He caught her hand and buried his face in her neck. Suddenly, she felt a sharp sting-

he'd bitten her!

“That hurt!” Keira protested, but he didn’t let up.

“I'll be in agony if you keep this up,” he muttered, his voice low and thick with restraint.

“Have you ever thought about...?” Keira started to ask, but before she could finish, he bit her neck again, this

“No. Never have, never will,” Hayden said firmly. He then nibbled her ear and added, “You can always trust your

man.
