Chaos Warlord: Reincarnated in Eldrich with the Devil System!
Chapter 314 311: Val's heavenly tribulation!Chapter 314 311: Val's heavenly tribulation!
Val had broken through to the next level of his White Devil class inside the lesser dimension, where the laws were different than in Eldrich. Thus, the tribulation hadn't triggered at that time.
Normally, one couldn't upgrade their bloodline without facing the tribulation, but Val had used a very rare item, making the upgrade possible. However, this didn't mean he had found a way to legitimize his power. He still needed to gain the acceptance of the will of the White Devil residing in his bloodline by passing the tribulation.
If he failed, the power of the Abyssal Hellfire would be stripped from him, and he would degrade back to level 3!
Lastly, it should also be mentioned that the tribulation hadn't begun immediately after he was teleported out of the collapsing dimension because its implosion had temporarily affected the laws of Eldrich.
Now that the laws had stabilized, the tribulation could finally take place.
"Head straight for the frontier. I'll catch up with you all once I've passed the tribulation," he stated decisively.
Oliver, albeit reluctantly, nodded in agreement. He could sense that something was amiss with the atmosphere in the Verdant Deepwood Forest. An uneasy feeling lingered in the air, compelling him to leave the area as swiftly as possible. Knowing what was most important at this moment, he took charge, leading the group back towards the safety of the frontier.
Meanwhile, Val wasted no time. He moved as fast as his legs could carry him, with the ominous tribulation clouds trailing close behind him. He knew he needed to put some distance between himself and the others to ensure their safety.
Upon reaching the peak of a distant hill, Val came to a halt and swiftly pulled out Voidslayer, his trusted weapon. Voidslayer, sensing the changes in the environment and the imminent danger, spoke up, "That's quite a tribulation you've summoned, master."
"I didn't have much of a choice. My bloodline is so pure that every tribulation is ten to a hundred times harder than what others face at my level. You ready to tackle it?" Val questioned, his voice steady.
"Count me ready," Voidslayer responded confidently.
Without any further delay, the sky began to rumble ominously, signaling the beginning of the tribulation. A bolt of lightning, significantly smaller than the ones Val had faced in his previous heavenly tribulation, descended from the sky. However, despite its reduced size, it was ten times more powerful and deadly, capable of rending him asunder.
Reacting swiftly, Val activated the power of his strength-amplified bracelet. For the next three minutes, all his stats soared to 120, enhancing his abilities exponentially. The world around him seemed to slow down, including the descent of the lightning bolt from the sky.
"It's all you, buddy." Val said.

With precision and speed, Val tossed Voidslayer towards the incoming threat.
Voidslayer, living up to its reputation, activated its special effect to bypass everything and chop apart anything it encountered. The lightning bolt, engulfed in the aura of the tribulation, was cleanly split in two.
The divided bolts struck the trees on either side of Val, reducing them to ashes instantaneously.
Val took a moment to catch his breath. Then, he looked up at the sky.
The tribulation was showing no sigh of waning.
It meant that there were two parts to his venomous-natured Heavenly Tribulation. Although he had survived the first onehe still had to face the second part and emerge victorious to gain the acknowledgment.
Rumble!
The skies overhead underwent a swift and drastic transformation, bathing the surrounding landscape in a vivid and intense emerald hue.
Oncr again, Val found himself in the midst of a perilous situation.
A colossal beam of thunder, its width alone spanning hundreds of feet, descended from the heavens with a terrifying force. Val, relying on his exceptional speed and reflexes, managed to narrowly escape the attack's range in the very last possible moment.
Boom!
The hill, which had been his previous location just moments ago, was not as fortunate; it took the full force of the thunderous assault, resulting in it being completely flattened and obliterated.
Against all odds, Val had managed to survive this terrifying ordeal, a feat that left him breathing heavily with relief and adrenaline coursing through his veins. Despite this victory, the situation was far from resolved.
The tribulation cloud still hung heavily in the sky, creating an oppressive atmosphere that weighed heavily on Val's shoulders.
The tribulation was still going on!
"Don't tell me it's extra hard."
Val couldn't shake the feeling that his particular trial was proving to be exceptionally more challenging than usual.
His apprehensions were quickly confirmed when the remnants of the destroyed hill began to stir.
The rubble, comprised of dirt, rocks, and debris, rose from the ground, taking on new and menacing forms. In an instant, sharp, rocky weapons, created from the very earth itself, hung in the air, poised to strike.
At the same time, the natural world around him seemed to turn against him as well.
Leaves detached themselves from the branches of trees, and blades of grass were uprooted from the forest floor.
All of these elements, under the influence of the tribulation's aura, transformed, becoming as hard and sharp as blades before they joined the rocky weapons in their charge towarfs Val.
Countless sharp objects were onverging towards Val from every conceivable angle.
In this dire situation, speed was no longer an advantage.
There was nowhere to run; no blind spots to exploit. It was as if the entire world was conspiring to end his life.
Yet, in the face of such overwhelming adversity, a smile broke out on Val's face.
Retreat was not an option, but he still had one card left to play – the age-old adage that attack is the best form of defense
"Take this and disappear!"
From Val, positioned at the very center of this chaotic storm, a wave of abyssal flames burst forth. The flames, dark and ominous, spread rapidly, creating a protective barrier around him. As the incoming attacks – the sharp rocks and hardened leaves – met the wave of flames, they were instantly incinerated, reduced to nothing more than ash.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmIn an instant, the myriad threats to Val's life were eradicated.
The sea of green light that had dominated the sky began to fade, and the tribulation cloud, its energy spent, vanished from existence.
Tranquility returned to the Verdent Deepwood Forest, the sun once again gracing the land with its warm and reassuring presence.
In the aftermath of this intense battle for survival, a notification appeared in Val's field of vision. The words written on it were clear and concise, [Congratulations, Host! You have survived the Venomous Natured Heavenly Tribulation. You have gained the fourth acknowledgment of the White Devil. The Abyssal Flame has permanently become a part of your being.]
Basically, as Val had overcome the tribulation, his innate class level had now stabilized at level 4,
Feeling a deep sense of satisfaction from surviving the tribulation without a single hitch, Val moved swiftly to retrieve Voidslayer from where it had landed in the depths of the forest.
His heart was light and his steps were swift as he made his way back to rejoin the group.
Upon his arrival, Oliver was the first to feel relieved. Rowan and Alfred, too, couldn't hide their feelings of relief and happiness. The rest of the group, though not as close to Val, shared these sentiments to some extent. Val had, after all, played a crucial role in saving them from the monstrous threats of the lesser dimension. So, even though he had monopolized the treasures birthed in the dimension for himself, there was no bitterness or hatred in their hearts. They were simply glad to have him back, alive and well.
Together, as a united front, they made their way back to the Northern Frontier, their spirits lifted and their steps light.
The guards stationed at the station next to the entrance of the lower city were taken aback at their sudden appearance.
Marshall, who was present at the scene, looked as if he had seen a ghost.
Stumbling forward, he mumbled in disbelief, "You're alive?"
Rowan, never one to miss an opportunity for a cheeky remark, quipped, "Duh, if we were dead, what would you be seeing? Ghosts?"
Alfred couldn't help but offer a silent prayer for Rowan in his mind, knowing full well that speaking so disrespectfully in Marshall's presence was like playing with fire. He braced himself for the storm to come, certain that Rowan's days in the frontier were about to become a lot less pleasant.
But, surprisingly, the storm never came. Marshall was so overcome with emotion that he didn't have the time or the inclination to be petty. Instead, he looked at them with a mixture of relief and confusion, his eyes searching theirs for answers.
"Sir, what's going on?" Val asked, his voice laced with concern.
