Chapter 440 Nightmare Rosaline's POV: I was checking the stock market when Wendy stormed into my apartment, her face full of fury.
The truth was I had already heard about the sharp decline in Wild Pack's stock price. Seeing the downward trend on my screen, I couldn't help but smirk.
"Alpha, you really outdid yourself this time! Wendy's going to have to behave now," Freya chimed in, sounding just as pleased as I was.
Right then, a loud knock sounded at my door. And, as if summoned by name, Wendy burst in, her rage barely contained.
"Rosaline! How dare you schagainst my pack, against my brother and Alpha? What makes you worthy of being with Caden? Does he even know what kind of manipulative bitch you are?" Her voice rose hysterically as she pointed a shaking finger at me, like she had never done anything wrong in her life.
I simply gazed at her with a calm expression before offering a slow, amused smile.
My indifference seemed to push Wendy over the edge. Her face twisted with anger, and she raised her hand to slap me. But before she could, I caught her wrist, gripping it tightly.

"Wendy," I said, my voice steady but firm, "I've ignored your little stunts for a long time, but don't mistake my patience for weakness. Lilian has been your lapdog from the start. Do you really think she dared to hack into my company's network without your orders?" My voice wasn't loud, but Wendy's face paled at my words.
I let go of her wrist with a sharp flick and warned in a low, icy voice, "If you try to sabotageagain, it won't end as easily as this time." Then, I turned and sank back into the couch, watching her with detached amusement.
If she had even a shred of intelligence, she would realize that the message was just a warning. Next time, I wouldn't be so lenient when she tried another of her underhanded tactics.
Wendy gaped at me, stunned. I could see the mix of emotions in her eyes-anger, disbelief, confusion.
But eventually, it was hatred that won out.
"You'll regret this, Rosaline," she snarled, her voice trembling with barely contained fury.
Then, with a sharp turn, she stormed out, slamming the door behind her.
I exhaled and shook my head.

Heidi's POV: Ever since I moved into Caden's place, I had been over the moon. I stayed busy every day, fully embracing the role of the lady of the house.
But my goal was much bigger than just living here--I wanted to becthe future Luna of the Eclipse Pack.
It was already past eight in the evening. I sat on the couch, glancing at the clock on the wall every few minutes. Finally, the door opened, and Caden walked in. I immediately put on a bright smile and rushed over to greet him. "Caden, what took you so long to chome?" I asked, trying to sound casual.
He ruffled my hair and smiled. "Work's been hectic. I had to close a business deal, so I got back a little later than usual.
I watched him carefully, trying to gauge his mood. Since I moved in, he had barely been home. I worried that Rosaline might try to pull strick.

Smiling sweetly, I took his hand and led him to the dining room The table was set with dishes Thad cooked myself-all his favorites. "Caden, I made this dish just for you. Try it," I said, watching him expectantly.
He picked up a fork and took a bite of bacon and eggs. After chewing thoughtfully, he nodded in approval.
Then, as if something had just öm occurred to him, he xukned to me. "Oh, Tessa, I almost forgot. Even though your health is improving, you still need to take care of yourself. Since I'm not hoften, I hire a nurse to stay with you. She will move in tomorrow and monitor your condition closely. If anything happens, she'll letknow immediately." I froze, my smile stiffening. My eyes flickered away from his, unable to meet his gaze.
A nurse? I had faked my terminal illness to get his sympathy-what if she found out the truth? Caden asked, "What's wrong? You don't look happy."
Snapping out of my panic, I quickly forced a smile. "No, it's nothing!was just thinking isn't that too much trouble for you?" "Not at all. I already made the arrangements. She'll be here tomorrow." After dinner, Caden went to his study to work, while I sat alone in the living room, trying to think of a solution.
Only then could I be sure that Caden and Rosaline would never, ever rekindle what they once had.
