Chapter 245
Chapter 245 Jealous
Dominic acted as if he hadn't heard her. He was convinced Belle was upset because he hadn't been picking her
up after work, and he smiled warmly.
Bella didn't bother explaining further. Perhaps she should throw a little tantrum sometimes. It wasn't always her
job to coax him. Just because she had fallen for him didn't mean sise had to stay humble forever.
But then again, she remembered how short his temper was, and she wasn't really brave enough to push her
luck.
On their way home, snow began to fall. The snowflakes weaved a delicate whiteacross the sky, and the
world outside was blanketed in white.
Bella excitedly reached her hand out the car window, feeling the cold snow melt in her palm.

It was a wonderful sensation.
Before she could fully enjoy it, Dominic snapped, "Put your hand back inside."
She frowned, "Why? I'm not sticking it out too far, and it's not dangerous. Don't talk tolike a child. You're only
three years older than me." Dominic shot her a sharp look, and she begrudgingly pulled her hand back in.
However, her eyes still gazed longingly at the snowy scene outside.
"What's so great about snow? It falls every year," Dominic said, completely unimpressed by the delicate
snowflakes.
Bella pouted. "If you take away the three years you spent abroad, I've been with you for 17 years. Should I also
be tired of you?"
Dominic pressed his lips into a tight line and coldly replied, "Snow is lifeless, and people aren't. How can you
compare the two?"
Bella didn't argue further. Dominic always had a way of making himself right in an argument. She had never
been great with words anyway. Any tshe got into an argument, she would be the first to get worked

When they returned to Miller Manor, Pudding darted out. It was excited and curious about the falling snowflakes.
The little dog, nipped at the air and tried to catch the snowflakes, only to end up with nothing.
Dominic watched Pudding's silly antics and was amused. "Is it that fascinating? Do all females act like this?"
Bella and Pudding were speechless.
During dinner, Sylvia suddenly walked in with a package. "Ms. Jones, there's a delivery for you. It looks like it's
from abroad."
Bella reached out to take the package and noticed the sender's nwas Felix Instinctively, she set it on the
empty chair beside her. "Alright, thanks." She felt Dominic's gaze on her and saw him put down his cutlery.
Taking a deep breath, she said, "Aren't you supposed to be heading to the office? You should hurry up and eat
His voice was tinged with jealousy as he replied, "Is my presence in the way of you opening your package?"

She thought he would deny it and act indifferent, but Dominic replied, "Yes. Is that a problem? | know that the
package is from Felix. That's why you're scared to open it here, right?"
Bella lost her appetite at his words. "My conscience is clear. He's just a former classmate and also a friend."
Dominic scoffed. "Right, and he almost becyour boyfriend."
Bella was no longer surprised by how much he knew. For sreason, she was unable to get angry when she
saw him so jealous.
"Enough already! That was in the past. Why bring it up now? I'll open the pack
here, okay?"
When she opened the package, she found a beautifully wrapped necklace. The pendant was round, and there
was a snowflake decoration in the middle that could move. Along with the necklace, there was a card with Felix's
handwriting. "By the tyou receive this package, it should be snowing in Joville,"
