Chapter 317
Chapter 317 Not Like We Haven't Slept Together Before
With the keys in Dominic's possession, Ethan would undoubtedly tell Bella about it. When she heard the news,
she didn't show any emotions. "Got it. Thanks." Before hanging up, he asked, "So, you and Dominic... know each
other? That dog is his, right?"
She decided to be honest. "Yes, we know each other. To be specific, he's my ex-boyfriend."
He felt deflated. Dominic's status as someone from the top family in Joville clearly made him feel inferior, and he
didn't think Bella would have any interest in him.
After finishing her shift, Bella bought breakfast the following day and walked hwhile
Weating.
She knew Dominic hadn't left because he hadn't called or messaged her. Her keys were still
with him.
As she approached her door, Pudding opened it for her. She rewarded her with a sausage before glancing at
Dominic sitting on the couch. "Why are you back from your business trip so soon? Are you here to take Pudding?"
He shot her a cold glare. "Is it okay to just give your house keys to a random man? Is it that casual for you?"
She raised an eyebrow. "Are you talking about yourself or Ethan?"

"You're more concerned about whether it was appropriate forto give someone my house. keys than whether
your dog was taken care of!"
Dominic fell silent, merely glaring at her.
Feeling uneasy under his stare, she handed him the extra breakfast she had bought. "Here, eat something, Mr.
Miller. It's from the street, but don't be picky."
He turned his face away, clearly refusing her offer
Bella, exhausted, said, "I'm dead tired. I'm going to shower and sleep. Make yourself at home, but just close the
door when you leave."
She thought her apparent dismissal would make him leave, but when she emerged from the shower, she found
him asleep on the couch.

The apartment was small, and the couch was only a two-seater, leaving him no room to stretch out. It dawned on
her that he must have been so upset last night that he hadn't slept at
all.
When she peeked into her bedroom, everything on her bed-the pillows and blanket-was untouched, confirming
that he really had spent the night on the couch.
She felt a mix of amusement and annoyance. Walking over, she gave him a gentle nudge. "Go sleep on the bed.
This small couch is too cramped. You must be uncomfortable."
Dominic, still half-asleep, swatted her hand away without opening his eyes, clearly still angry.
Her mind swirled, and she said, "Either go to bed now or go home. I'm too tired to deal with you right now. | feel
like I might collapse."
He abruptly stood up and headed for the door but suddenly turned back and walked into the bedroom.
Bella sighed and pulled a blanket from the wardrobe, laying it on the carpet before the bed. She didn't want to
sleep in the living room to save on heating costs. Running the heater in both areas was too expensive, especially
with the cold weather. Dominic's voice broke the silence. "It's not like we haven't slept together before. What are
you worried about?"
She rolled her eyes without responding. She wasn't afraid of intimacy; it was more about avoiding awkward
moments.
Exhausted from a long day and night, she fell into a deep sleep, unaware of when he left.
