Nathan involuntarily averted his gaze. He always found it hard to look straight at these noble and rich

people. They seemed like unreachable gods. lan just glanced at him, not paying too much attention.

Led by the president of Silverstone Enterprises, he strolled into the hall.

The construction project of Crystalbrook Valley was a big deal due to the huge investment, so

Silverstone Enterprises had always taken it very seriously. A lot of companies had submitted their

proposals to the Raymond Corporation. However, last night, they picked Silverstone Enterprises to

negotiate further. And today, lan made a personal appearance. The president of Silverstone

Enterprises even wondered if it was because lan’s property in Greenfield Gardens was also built by

Silverstone Enterprises that they got this opportunity.

As lan was about to step into the conference room, he heard a minor leader scolding someone not far

away. And the one being scolded was the guy who had received Maja.

Today was Saturday, and some positions at Silverstone Enterprises worked from nine in the morning to

nine at night, six days a week.

“What the hell, Nathan, can’t you even get this data right? Maybe you should hit the books more, you’re

the only one with a low education level in our department. Don’t blame me for picking on you.”

Nathan cursed the leader in his heart. This guy had a serious prejudice against education. So after he

found out about Nathan’s education level, he would sneer at him almost every day.

This was also why he had missed several opportunities for promotion which had been given to others

by this leader.

If it wasn’t for the generous year–end bonus from Silverstone Enterprises, he would have found

another job long ago.

lan was standing not far away, watching all this.

lan didn’t say a word and walked into the conference room.

For the next hour, the president of Silverstone Enterprises and several high–level executives were

discussing about the upcoming construction matters. Meanwhile, à staff member from the Raymond

Corporation sitting next to lan was checking the information one by one.

But it was obvious to everyone that lan, sitting aside, was daydreaming the whole time.

lan’s hands were slightly crossed in front of his waist. He looked very calm.

But Jeff, who was sitting nearest to him, noticed that lan seemed to be lost in thought.

Halfway through the meeting, lan’s phone rang. He signaled to the executives at the table to continue

the meeting, then he walked out of the conference room to take the call in the corridor.

The call was from Tyler, talking about some trivial matters.

lan only listened for a moment before hanging up.

As he was passing by a room, he heard a familiar male voice from inside.

‘He is intentionally targeting me. If it wasn’t for Silverstone Enterprises‘ generous year–end bonus, I

really want to quit.”

“It’s unbelievable that there are still people discriminating against education in this day and age.”

The speaker was Nathan, and there was another male employee standing in front of him, seemed like

another regular employee.

lan didn’t know why, but he walked in anyway.

When Nathan saw someone coming in, he immediately stopped talking.

When he looked up and saw the man who came in, he immediately felt uncomfortable.

Most men have their pride, so when they see an obvious stronger man enter their area, the two who

were just talking immediately felt pressured.
