121 What Do You Think About Going to The Main Continent?
After the group arrived at the shore, all three of them had their interest taken by the five wooden boats that carried the intruders to the island.
Robus was simply interested because he had never seen anything like the boats before since he had never left the island ever since he was born.
Blake looked at the boats with some nostalgia and wonder as he imagined the ships that were used in the old pirates movie that he saw back on earth.
Although he believed those pirate ships were bigger than the five ships that he was currently seeing, it was still an amusing experience for him to be able to see a real-life old-styled sailboat with his own two eyes.
On the other hand, different from the two boys who were simply mesmerized by the sight in their eyes, Vera was flying close to the five ships and observed them from all possible angles as if she was trying to find something.
Blake soon noticed what Vera did and soon followed after her to look at the five ships closely.
And it didn’t take long for him to find out something unusual on the ships after he noticed Vera staring at certain spots for a longer time than others.
How did Blake know that it was something unusual despite he had never seen a real life sailboat before? Besides the fact that he did know most parts of a sailboat after seeing them in a kids’ history book once, the things he found were something that definitely wasn’t present in the sailboats that were present in old times back in his world.
It was none other than the presence of demonic runes written on some parts of the boats.
.....
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtAnd one of the most obvious spots that were filled with demonic runes was the backside of a huge sail that hung right in the middle of the boat.
There were other places where demonic runes exist, such as on the two sides of the ship, the backside near the rudder, and even at the front side of the ship.
The existence of those demonic runes was definitely unusual since Blake knew that the original sailboats didn’t have those demonic runes.
The demonic runes written were fairly simple and Blake even recognized most of the runes used on the boat. The runes used were runes to enhance the sailboat body’s toughness, enhance the strength of the rudder, and some unknown runes that were drawn on the sailboat.
However, despite Blake thinking that it wasn’t normal for sailboats to have demonic runes, Blake still didn’t think it was something out of the ordinary considering that he was currently in the demon realm.
‘Why wouldn’t demon technology use demonic runes?’ Is what he thought before he saw a very serious look plastered on Vera’s face.
Blake tried to think what made her look at the demonic runes with a frown on her eyebrows before then he recalled something that she had told him before.
‘The best advantage I have in this first demon realm is that I can study and learn other rune formations and make my own rune formations while other demons in this realm can’t.’
Blake then looked back at the demonic runes that were written on the sailboat’s body.
Those demonic runes were indeed, rune formations.
“If the humanoid demons in this realm shouldn’t have been able to draw rune formations yet, then who was the one that drew all these...?” Blake muttered out loud as the realization came to him.
Even if the rune formations were very basic that Blake could recognize their use and understand the structure after a single glance without having to dissect them first in his mind, the humanoid demons in the first realm shouldn’t even be capable of doing that.
Hearing what her student had said, Vera nodded her head before saying,
“It seems that I am not the only one who has come to this realm from the deeper realms.”
Blake then looked at his teacher with a serious look as he thought about what that fact meant.
‘If someone from the deeper realm had come here despite the very strict restrictions and conditions that must have been fulfilled before doing it, then did it mean those people are somehow related to her?’
Sensing Blake’s gaze in her direction, Vera decided to open her mouth and fulfilled the promise that he had just made to Blake a few moments ago.
“Blake, the truth why I came to this realm was because I was hiding from something.”
Hearing Vera’s words, Blake couldn’t help but suck in a full breath of air to his lungs as he imagined what kind of entity made his teacher that was seemingly very capable and strong to hide so far away, even to go up the demon realms despite the difficult requirements needed to do so.
And if those people had chased after her even through the different demon realms, then Blake would understand why Vera was very cautious of the humanoid demons.
Assuming that the ones who were chasing her were humanoid demons, then if the humanoid demons that he met were also the ones that chased after Vera through the different demon realms, then it wouldn’t be impossible, in fact, it was very probable that Blake would be the one on the receiving end of a spell that was on the fire tornado blender caliber.
Vera’s whole cautiousness in preparing a spell to fight against strong enemies, a bracelet to call for help, and a stern warning to get away from the humanoid demons were now all justified in Blake’s mind as he heard a single reasoning coming from Vera’s mouth.
“I now understand really well why you do what you did, Vera, I am once again terribly sorry for not following your instructions 100%,” Blake said as he felt guilty once again.
“Yes, I told you those things because I don’t want the worst to happen.” Vera then walked closer to the rune formation to see it better just in case she missed something.

“But it seems that I was wrong either.”
Tracing her fingers on the rune formation, Vera continued speaking, “These guys aren’t related to me.”
“There’s no way that old man would make these weak rune formations even if he was stuck with first-realm runes,” Vera said before drawing a very simple rune that Blake had never seen before.
Once the rune manifested itself, the rune formation that was inscribed on the ship’s body glowed for a split second before Blake visibly saw the light literally break apart into countless pieces.
“It doesn’t even have any protection to it.”
Vera then nodded her head in relief, “This is definitely not related to me.” She now said with full confidence.
“But there is definitely something big going on here in the first realm...”
Vera then flew up to see all five boats that had identical designs as if following a precise blueprint.
Without outside interference, the only boat that the humanoid demons would be able to think of was made of floating logs that were tied together with some type of rope.
Even though the incident with the humanoid demons certainly wasn’t related to her, it still made Vera wonder what was happening in the first demon realm.
So then she decided that she wanted to figure out what had actually happened in the main continent lest something unexpected happens.
She then flew right beside Blake before asking him,
“Blake, what do you think about going to the main continent?”
