Erotic RPG: I am in the Game world, But My Heroines are Villainesses
Chapter 218 Rumors 2
What is the thing that most humans were inclined to do?
What is the common pattern that was observed around the age of adolescence when it comes to forming thoughts?
The answer is pretty simple.
Bigotry, or zealotry.
Lynch culture.
Two terms that could be best to define the common pattern.
When it comes to young people or people who have yet to form their own thought processes and values, it is rather easy to impellent some general thoughts to their minds, using the possible special triggers for emotional overflow.
For instance, when a girl of any age was said to be assaulted by a man, society would immediately take action, as the idea of protecting a woman had already been implemented in one's mind from the day they were born.
The same can be said when it comes to theocracy or religion.
Religion is a thing that directly comes from one's parents unless they have grown sufficiently enough to observe it. Therefore, we can also relate it to bigotry by definition, which in the end, leads to fanaticism.
Then, what do you think would happen when one combines two of these two things at the same event? What kind of reaction would the public give?
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThe answer should already have been evident since we had seen examples of such events in the newspapers a lot of times already.
Society would be mad, as they would immediately start pouring the madness in their hearts into the 'criminal' with the term lynch culture entering the equation.
Which was basically what was happening all around the academy.
As I naturally entered the classroom and sat on the desk, those thoughts heavily weighed on my mind.
'It looks like she played her cards already.'
At this point, it was blatantly evident that someone had a hand in these rumors that I kept hearing until I came to the classroom.
'Rumors about me being assaulted, huh? Are you in a rush?'
Considering the expected value of any rumor being spread in the scope of this crowded academy, the progress rate was rather fast.
Since Alicia was the one that had instigated that nun to give false testimony for sure, I had already thought about the possibility of such rumors being created inside the academy.
'But, do you think I don't have any countermeasure?'
I thought as a slight smile bloomed on my face, knowing that she was playing her cards according to my expectations.
'If that is what you think, then I will be heavily disappointed.'
"Why are you smiling, you rap*st!" The piercing voice shattered the tranquility of my morning, as my senses were pretty uncomfortable with the loudness.
I turned towards the source of the disturbance, seeing a young man with a muscular build, his face displaying strict and sharp features. An emblem on his collar indicated his affiliation with the Holyland of Celestia, suggesting he was a promising paladin candidate.
'It seems we have a rather hero-type, naïve student in our class, huh?' I mused to myself as I felt the righteous yellow aura flowing through his clothes.
"Why aren't you answering?" His tone filled with overzealousness, he asked. "I am talking to you." With his posture proud, he was looking at me with eyes of disgust.
"What business do you have with me?" Ignoring the disdain in his eyes, I naturally answered, not losing my composure.
"You! You bastard! How can you be so shameless?" Seeing the relaxed expression and the posture of not minding anything, he became agitated, further increasing his voice.
'This is why I dislike dealing with such people. Even though they are not bad people, they are blind enough to let their feelings cloud their judgment.' I thought, seeing the veins protruding on his face.
"What is there to be ashamed of?" As I answered his words, I relaxed my posture. "I didn't do anything wrong." And added while leaning on the seat.
"You did nothing wrong? You did nothing WRONG? YOU BASTARD, YOU ASSAULTED A HOLY SISTER!" As time passed, his initially bright face transformed into a bright shade of red, suggesting an imminent outburst.
'Sigh…. What a pain…..' I thought, though, inside my heart, a slight feeling of anger started blooming. 'I really feel like crushing him. Should I just send it?' I thought as I looked at the young man who had already come close enough to look at me from above.
A sigh escaped my lips as I answered while standing up from the seat I was sitting.
"It appears that individuals hailing from the esteemed Holy Land of Celestia seldom lift their gaze from the pages of their sacred tomes, don't they? Up to a point, they forgot how to distinguish the truth and lies?" Immediately, making my points, I locked my eyes on the young man in my front.
At this point, the classroom was already filled with a lot of students around, be it from my class or from other classes.
Since the nature of humans can be observed in the modern world, whenever they see a commotion, they would flock around to see and find some entertainment in their lives.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm'Now, I need to be careful with the words I use.' I thought as I started talking. "Mind your tongue, you pitiable fool, incapable of utilizing your own intellect to discern the truth; even when your own religious doctrine explicitly warns against blind faith, you are still unable to block the sway of emotions affecting your judgment."
As I finished my words while making the symbol of truth with my hands, the boy in front of me raised his hands. "With unwavering resolve, my faith stands resolute, impervious to the judgments of a tainted soul such as yours, incapable of assessing its steadfastness."
/PAT/
With the glove in his hand flying towards me, he added to his words. "As the conscience in my heart suggests, I shall challenge you a duel to remove one more filth from this world." At the end of his words, the sound of something hitting another could be heard.
"I see…. You are both unable to discern the truth but also unable to see absolute in front of yourself, huh?"
As I mumbled slightly, I picked up the glove.
"I accept your duel."
And answered….
Just like that, the academy life started really fast…..

Guys, what do you think about the recent chapters? I changed the style of my writing a little; as you can see, rather than simply writing the dialogues, I am now adding the people talking as well.
Tell me about your thoughts so that I can improve.
Hope you enjoyed the chapters.
I have another exam tomorrow and a laboratory assignment this midnight..... Work never ends.....
