Ex Rank Supporting Role's Replay in a Prestigious School
Chapter 527: What can’t be changedSupport Ex-Rank
Four main events were expected to happen in December at Eungwang High.
First, the entrance exam for new students.
Second, the final exam for freshmen and sophomores.
Third, the Eungwang High Festival.
Fourth, the Christmas event.
The difference between the festival and the Christmas event is that one is open to the public while the other is not.
Because of the popularity of some people at Eungwang High, large and small incidents have occurred in school festivals in the past, resulting in the school implementing strict entrance control.
Eungwang High Festival is a closed event only for students, alumni, and close acquaintances who obtained invitation tickets.
But even after getting an invitation ticket, one has to comply with screening in advance to get permission to enter.
‘The festival is safe. The problem is the Christmas event.’
Perhaps to soothe the public’s disappointment, the yearly Eungwang High Christmas event was open to outsiders.
It is held on a first-come, first-served basis, and the access screening process was somewhat eased.
The “First Christmas Scenario”, commonly known to PMH fans as the concrete layer collapse, was the Christmas event for that year.
Joo Soohyuk and Ahn Dain would be celebrating their first Christmas as Eungwang High students.
To be exact, the student body prepared a charity event between Christmas Eve and Christmas which led to the worst catastrophe ever.
‘There were many teachers and alumni during the festival, so they must’ve aimed for Christmas day.’
Many teachers are on the Eungwang High campus during the festival but during the Christmas event.
Christmas is a holiday, unlike most teachers who go to work during the festival, which is one of the regular academic schedules.
Even alumni who show up at the festival don’t usually visit the Christmas event.
Many people want to spend Christmas Day with their families.
Therefore, if the antagonists want to target students, it would be perfect to do so during Christmas when security is poor and less powerful people are on campus.
What a vile, sly, and thorough move.
‘Most of the victims were good people because it was a charity event too.’
Of course, participating in a charity event doesn’t automatically make one a good person.
Some good people couldn’t attend, like Yeom Junyeol who was studying abroad, Cheon Dongha who was on a business trip, and Im Yeonhwa and Ham Geunhyung were abroad due to Choi Pyeondeuk’s plot.
Most of the people on campus during the event were people who did not forget to do good deeds despite the unfortunate incidents at the school.
The school atmosphere fell even further after the event.
The bright people died or were seriously injured, and the deaths of their peers were mourned.
Most of the deaths were third-year students who were about to graduate, and the school population wasn’t decreased by a lot since new freshmen entered soon.
However, the First Christmas scenario completely changed the air at Eungwang High and smashed the mentality of PMH users.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThat event is just around the corner, and we’re discussing it at the student representative meeting.
“Eungwang High holds an annual Christmas event with the public. This year, we will organize an event centered on autonomous student organizations.”
So many things changed since I came to this world.
Unlike in PMH, there’s no vacancy in the current student representative meeting, and the student delegations have changed.
But some things can’t be changed.
‘It’s not that it can’t, but it’s hard.’
There are plenty of ways to stop the Christmas event.
Even if there would be backlash, I could use Hwang Jiho’s power to make the event difficult to conduct.
Or there’s a way to persuade the student reps to hold the event outside Eungwang High.
I think Yeom Junyeol and Cheon Dongha would easily agree with me if I give them a reason compelling enough.
About Gye Idam… well, I don’t think there’s a problem with that.
Among the malicious comments he wrote, there was a lot about the First Christmas event so I know he hasn’t forgotten about it.
I’ll shut him up if he disagrees.
I don’t know about Heo Chaeah, but if three out of four agree with me, the result wouldn’t change even if she’s opposed.
There were many ways to avoid the First Christmas scenario, but the Christmas event must be held.
‘The Black Screen is already ready. If we stop the Christmas event, they’ll spray snow on Eungwang High at an unknown time.’
We can’t really eliminate the Black Screen before Christmas.
If we don’t hold the event or hold it at another location, the Black Screen would aim for a time and place that I won’t know.
The only way to stop the Black Screen itself is to close all the places where they can target, including Eungwang High, until the day that they’re caught.
‘All activities would be suspended without just notice, but that’s impossible.’
The Christmas Event will be held, and snow will fall on Eungwang High.
I was determined from the moment I came to this world, but the sight of the student representatives discussing the Christmas event made my fingers go cold.
The whole conference room seemed excited about it.
I’m the only one who knows about what’s about to come.
The students seemed to look forward to Christmas without much concern as there were no Eungwang High students deceased in this world unlike in PMH.
In particular, the freshmen who would celebrate their first Christmas in Eungwang High seemed very excited.
“There’s a festival plan prepared by a class that we couldn’t agree on. We should do that.”
“There’s a festival already, why do we need to plan an event for Christmas?”
“So you won’t come?”
“I will.”
While Yeom Junyeol was explaining the prospective plans for the event, small conversations came up here and there.
The plans he presented were almost the same.
If anything, the only difference was the place to donate.
“Our class is small, so we might have to re-has what we’re going to do at the festival and the Christmas event… Euishin-ah?”
I was spacing out when Kim Yuri’s words woke me up.
Perhaps because we’re talking about Christmas, the image of Kim Yuri frantically looking for Ahn Dain in the PMH First Christmas scenario overlapped with how I saw her.
One look at her and I realized how different this world and the PMH world were.
I know what to do now.
‘I won’t let things happen the way they did.’
I can’t change the fact that the event will be held at Eungwang High,
However, the content of the events can be changed as much as I want.
As my frozen fingertips started to regain warmth, I answered Kim Yuri in my usual tone.
“I was thinking about which one to choose because they were all good ideas.”
“Ah, that’s true. I thought a lot about it when I didn’t choose one from the ideas of the student association…”
Kim Yuri affectionately smiled and told me about the process of selecting prospects from the student association.
Kim Yuri raised an idea, and soon the voting was completed.
The result of the vote was that Eungwang High’s Christmas event would be a charity event to support little boys and girls.
“This concludes the fourth-quarter student representative meeting.”
After finishing all the details related to the Christmas event agenda, Yeom Junyeol adjourned this year’s last student representative meeting.
When he finished speaking, the third-year students began to applaud loudly.
“Thank you, sunbaenims.”
Yeom Junyeol bowed his head with a relaxed face.
He didn’t show it, but he must’ve been a little nervous because it was the first meeting where he was the student representative.
Other than Yeom Junyeol, the other sophomores who led the meeting also looked relieved.
I didn’t notice it at all because the meeting was flawless, but everyone must’ve been pretty nervous.
I also applauded and congratulated the sophomores on the successful meeting.
It wasn’t only a celebration but a farewell to the seniors who won’t get to participate in these meetings again.
When we were about to leave the conference room after the meeting…
“You sure you’re not going to the after party? Are you that busy?”
Ji Myungsoo tapped Do Wonwoo.
According to Kim Yuri, since the final exam for the seniors has ended, each autonomous student organization seems to be planning for a trip with the seniors.
Do Wonwoo has expressed his intent to not attend.
He must be very busy with TC work, but since the final exam is over, it would be nice to have dinner with the student association.
Do Wonwoo hesitated, unable to immediately answer Ji Myungsoo.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmSeeing his hesitation, he really must have had no time at all.
Before Do Wonwoo answered, Yoo Sanghee spoke softly.
“Wonwoo-ah, I heard you can’t make it today. Is that true?”
Not a hint of ill intent was in Yoo Sanghee’s voice.
Considering what Yoo Sanghee has been through so far, it’s not strange if she’d remain resentful of TC, but she seems to see Do Wonwoo as separate from the group.
Do Wonwoo stared at Yoo Sanghee and nodded.
“…Yeah. I’ll be off now.”
Do Wonwoo gave a brief answer and left his seat.
Ji Myungsoo looked perplexed, and Yoo Sanghee only smiled as she saw Do Wonwoo off.
Yoo Sanghee seemed to have stared at Do Wonwoo’s back for a little longer.
“Suspicious VP, it’s serious over there, but it’s serious over here too.”
It was Moon Saeron’s voice that cut off my thoughts.
She was pointing to where students from the student council were gathered.
The student council seemed to be planning to go to an after-party dinner together.
Where Moon Saeron pointed was Joo Soohyuk standing next to Oh Hyeji.
She then proceeded to point at Ahn Dain, who turned her head while looking at the scene with a faint face.
Moon Saeron didn’t say a word but only frowned, and I immediately grasped the situation.
For Joo Soohyuk, Oh Hyeji is only a sister and he doesn’t realize that Ahn Dain likes him so he’s not wary of this misunderstanding that he’s causing.
I was flustered too because in PMH, no conditions existed for this misunderstanding to happen.
“I’ll tell Dain. Don’t worry too much. Uhm… I don’t know how much misunderstanding I can clear up though.”
Kim Yuri immediately offered help.
Before Moon Saeron and I finally parted ways, Yoo Sanghoon said something.
“I thought something was going on at the meeting, but it went fine.”
“What?”
“No? Then never mind.”
Yoo Sanghoon said what he wanted to say and left.
Doesn’t he doze off at every meeting?
Maybe he was dreaming this time.
“Euishin-ah.”
I was walking alone in the hallway when someone called my name.
“I want to talk to you about something that time… Can you make some time later today?”
It was the former Jiikhoe Chairman, Sung Siwan.
Next to him was Gye Idam.
