Chapter 121 Looking for the Man from a One-Night Stand
Mu Zhi carried Mu Xiaomu into the car and drove home. When they have gotten home and shut the
door behind them, Mu Zhi finally turned to Mu Xiaomu and looked at her sternly.
“Do you know what you have done wrong?” said Mu Zhi angrily.
Mu Xiaomu looked up at Mu Zhi with large and innocent eyes. She was obviously confused.
Mu Zhi sighed letting her anger slip away before explaining, “Mu Xiaomu, don’t bother Mr. Lu Jinye
again. He is just a person who is kind to you, but he is not your father.”
She felt that Mu Xiaomu could understand her explanation.
However after Mu Zhi had spoken, Mu Xiaomu was suddenly on the verge of tears. “Mama, I don’t
have a papa. Why can’t he be my papa?”
On the way home, Mu Zhi had planned to discipline Mu Xiaomu.
When they had reached home, she had intended to carry it out. However now after hearing Mu
Xiaomu, she suddenly found herself unable to do it.
It was her fault that Mu Xiaomu had never been loved by a father.
When she made the decision to give birth to Mu Xiaomu, she planned to give her a lot of love. She
believed that if she gave her enough motherly love, it could make up for the absence of a father’s love.
However… She now realized that she was wrong.
Mu Zhi pushed back her sorrows and calmed her expression before saying to Mu Xiaomu, “Who said
you don’t have a father? You do and your father is the king of the forest. If you insist on calling another
person father, wouldn’t you father be sad when he comes back”
“Furthermore, Mr. Lu Jinye has his own child. If you took away the child’s father, wouldn’t the child be

Mu Zhi observed Mu Xiaomu attentively. She was concerned that her explanations were too complex
for her. So she explained patiently from a different angle.
“Let’s say you go to Jieyi’s house to play for a few days while I stay at home. If I look for another little
girl to be my daughter, will you be happy?”
“Not happy.”
At this moment, Mu Xiaomu appeared to have understood.
She stood before Mu Zhi and looked up at her. Her eyes were filled with tears threatening to overflow.
Mu Zhi knew for certain that Mu Xiaomu had understood and was very sad.
It pained Mu Zhi even more to see her sad.
However… she did not know what she could do.
She could not selfishly seduce Lu Jinye and bind him to her, nor could she make him accept a daughter
that was not his.
So, she was helpless.
She hated this helplessness.
Mu Zhi looked at Mu Xiaomu for a while. She still felt some remorse as she lifted Mu Xiaomu up and
enveloped her in her embrace. She quietly accompanied Mu Xiaomu as she ate some snacks and
watched Peppa Pig. Then she made dinner for Mu Xiaomu and after dinner put her to bed.
Later, Mu Zhi listened to Mu Xiaomu’s gentle breathing beside her while she couldn’t sleep.
She could not figure out what she should do.
Their relationships had become complicated. It was obvious that Mu Xiaomu’s yearning for a father had
reached a tipping point, rendering the matter urgent.
Will finding Mu Xiaomu a father resolve everything?
Mu Zhi thought about it through the night. By dawn next morning, she had made her decision!
Looking for a father for Mu Xiaomu was not the most urgent matter. That could wait. Instead, she first
needed to contact the trusted nanny they had previously, and then go to the hospital to look for a
dependable colleague to help take care of Mu Xiaomu. This was because the most urgent matter was
to accompany her mother overseas for medical treatment.
However just as Mu Zhi had gotten ready and was about to leave, she was made to realize that nothing
was within her control.
A large crowd of reporters had gathered right outside her door. The moment she opened it, they
surrounded her tightly with no way to escape.
Mu Zhi frowned as she took in the scene before her. She was baffled by it all.
She had no idea what was going on. At that moment, a reporter thrusted his microphone at her face
and asked, “Miss Mu, are you looking for the man from the one night stand? Are you rekindling old
flames?”
“Does this mean that you believe there can be love from a one night stand?”
“Before this Lu Jinye has admitted that it was him. Are you posting the video to insult him?”
Mu Zhi could not answer the questions thrown at her. She quickly reversed back and closed the door.
With that, the reporters were all blocked outside.
Thankfully… Lu Jinye’s house was sound proofed. Once the door was closed, no outside noise could
be heard.
Mu Zhi sighed in relief. She sat on the sofa and tried to calm down her nerves but right then, the phone
in her bag rang.
It was a call from Lu Junnian.
Mu Zhi looked at his name flashing on the screen as she hesitated to answer. While she was
hesitating, Lu Junnian called the second time. She answered.
“Hello?”
Mu Zhi asked with a frown.

“Why did you post that video again? Are you still looking for the man from the one night stand?” Lu
Junnian sounded skeptical and unhappy.
“What video?”
Mu Zhi finally had the chance to ask.
“The video from your one night stand!”
Lu Junnian said through gritted teeth, his voice full of mistrust. “Am I not enough for you?”
“Where did you see it?”
“On Weibo.”
At this moment, Mu Zhi could no longer be bothered by the doubtfulness in Lu Junnian’s words. All she
could think about was questioning him.
Mu Zhi quickly opened her own Weibo account. Turned out… Her Weibo account had been hacked.
She told Lu Junnian about this. In response, he explained that previously when the video was posted,
he paid for someone to remove the video.
Since someone posted it out again and even hacked Mu Zhi’s Weibo account, it was certain that there
was a motive behind it.
“I will help you to figure out how to resolve this right away.”
Lu Junnian promised upon knowing the truth from Mu Zhi.
Mu Zhi frowned as she considered it for a while. In the end she declined Lu Junnian and said, “Let me
do it myself.”
“I will delete the post and deal with it as it goes.”
Lu Junnian again offered to help Mu Zhi but she continued to decline him.
This time Lu Junnian did not insist.
Since the news was speculated repeatedly, this could only mean that someone was behind it.
Furthermore, the intensity of repeated speculation would soon diminish. To Mu Zhi this is a silver lining.
Lu Junnian waited for Mu Zhi to deal with it herself. However he waited from early morning till the
evening, and Mu Zhi seemed to have spent a whole day deleting the video from Weibo.
