Chapter 128
About half an hour later, it seemed like Jonathan had gone to the kitchen to get some water. The floor
lamp in the living room was on, and faint light shone through the cracks of the door.
Was he having insomnia again?
Estelle’s clear eyes moved in the darkness. She got up, got out of bed, and opened the door. There,
she heard the man on the phone. “What’s up?”
The voice on the other side was anxious, “Mr. Lamont, I’m Hattie’s agent, Amy. Today, Mr. Daly took
Hattie to meet some investors, and she drank a lot. Now she’s being taken to The Luminary Studios by
Farrell. His men are blocking the way, and no one can get close. Mr. Lamont, please save Hattie!”
Jonathan frowned, “Where’s Mr. Daly?”
“Mr. Daly’s separated from us, and he’s not here right now!”
Jonathan’s expression turned cold. Just as he was about to ask her to call Aaron, he saw that the door

sofa, and asked, “Where are you?”
“The Sailing Hotel!”
“Wait for me, I’ll be right there!”
He rushed out, looking very anxious.
As the door closed, the soft yellow light in the living room, casting a warm glow on her face, like a cold
moonlit night.
She walked back into the room and closed the door.
Jonathan stepped out, the cold wind hit him in the garage, and he sobered up. What was he doing?
What did he want to find out about Estelle through Hattie?
After sitting in the car, the man calmed down completely, and made a phone call to Aaron, “Hattie’s at
The Sailing Hotel, taken by Farrell from The Luminary Studios. Go check it out.”
Aaron immediately responded, going there personally.
This sort of thing happened quite often; Aaron knew what to do.
Jonathan waited in the car for a while, either waiting for Aaron’s call or something else.
Half an hour later, he drove off.
By the time he returned to the Lamont family’s old house and went upstairs, he received a call from
Aaron saying that he had already brought Hattie out. Farrell was drunk the whole time, and his people
had knocked him out.
Hattie was not seriously hurt; she had only sustained some injuries while resisting Farrell. Fortunately,
Farrell had been too drunk to cause her any real harm.
Jonathan uttered a bland “Mmm” and hung up the phone.
He put his phone on the bed, turned around to shower, came out, read for a while, but seemed to be
absent–minded. He hadn’t turned the page after 10 minutes.
He glanced at the time; an hour had passed. He picked up his phone, but there were no missed calls or
messages.

He frowned and threw his phone aside in frustration, turned off the light, and went to bed.
For the next few days, he didn’t go to the Royal Mansion. He spent his nights at social gatherings or at
the Midnight Bar with Charlie and the others, relying on medication to help him sleep when he got
home late.
On Saturday, he got home early and had dinner with Henson and Norah.
“How’s your studying going?” Jonathan asked Henson.
“it’s fine,” Henson replied indifferently.
Jonathan paused and asked quietly, “Did Ms. Macclain join you for lunch today?”
“Yes, I had the kitchen prepare soup for her, and she took it with her,” Henson replied.
Jonathan casually asked, “Did she mention anything?”
“We talked a lot. Which are you asking about?” Henson replied nonchalantly.
Jonathan, “…”
His gaze grew disheartened, “Let’s eat!”
He glanced at Norah and asked, “When are your exams?”
