Chapter 1610
“Enjoy your meal!” The waitress said cheerily before turning on and leaving.
Estelle took a bite of a crab cake, savoring the succulent and tender crab with a creamy cheese filling that oozed
out, creating a sublime taste.
More dishes were brought to their table, along with two pitchers of plum wine.
Kevin poured a glass for Estelle and Magdalen. “I’ve heard that the wine here is top-notch, ladies. Give it a try and
let me know what you think. If you find it too strong, we can order something else!”
Magdalen, watching Estelle’s reaction after a sip, asked with a smile, “How is it?”
The wine was indeed impressive, with a subtle hint of cinnamon and plum, and a robust flavor.
“Delicious!” Estelle nodded, taking another sip.
Her phone vibrated, indicating a new message from Jonathan, which read, [Easy on the drinks]
Estelle looked out the window and soon realized they were on the third floor, separated by a garden from Sylvan
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtSavories. Jonathan couldn’t see her from there.
Was it a coincidence?
Estelle lowered her gaze, a faint smile playing on her lips.
As Kevin drank a few glasses of wine, his conversation with Magdalen became more animated.
Estelle observed Magdalen closely, determined to ensure she didn’t drink too much this time.
Soon, the moon began to rise, casting its reflection through the window.
The view was stunning, and Estelle couldn’t resist capturing the moment in a photo, which she then sent to
Jonathan.
In the picture, a crescent moon hung outside the window, with a cinnamon flower placed in a vase on the
windowsill, and a pitcher of plum wine nearby. The scene was quite picturesque.
Estelle thought it was the best picture she had ever taken.
Jonathan didn’t respond to the message, but a few minutes later, Estelle noticed that Jonathan had posted the
photo on his Facebook page. There was no caption, just the picture.
Jonathan’s Facebook account contained just two updates. One was a repost from three e years ago, sharing her
photo taken at home during Christmas, standing by a red plum tree. The second post was the recent one he had
shared.
As Estelle gazed at the image, her eyes sparkled with delight.
Estelle watched as likes and comments started pouring in.
Carson commented, [Jonah actually posted something? That’s unheard of]
Andrew added, [Isn’t this the Fairview Hotel? Is Jonah at the Fairview Hotel?]
Charlie commented, [Who do you guys think took this photo?]
The comments section was suddenly came to life.
Norah also joined in the fun, saying, [I suddenly remembered the post you shared two years ago, Jonathan. You and
Estelle were dating even then, and I was so clueless!]
While Jonathan was busy talking with clients, his phone was bombarded with notifications.
He frowned as he scrolled through the comments, then he posted a comment, [How do I mute you all, so only my

Charlie quickly replied. [You think I’ll tell you how to do that?]
Norah posted a laughing emoji, saying. [I didn’t know Jonathan could be so goofy! I have to screenshot this for
proof! LOL!]
After responding to Jonathan’s post, she quickly saved the photo and forwarded it to Xavier Flemmings.
Xavier responded almost instantly, asking. [Where are you now? Are you drinking?]
Norah lay on her bed, giggling as she typed, [I haven’t been to the store in three days, do you miss me?
After sending the message, she put her phone face-down on the bed, buried her face in the pillow, and couldn’t
help but smile.
Last weekend, she had tried to give him a gift, but he had refused it, even threatening to fire her if she bought him
anything else.
In a fit of anger, she hadn’t gone to the store for three days.
Would Xavier miss her?
She couldn’t believe she was so determined to win over a man who didn’t even like her.
