Chapter 1658
On a Friday evening, to celebrate Emily landing a new job, Magdalen decided to host a gathering at the 9th
Mansion.
Estelle decided to swing by home first to pick up Kya, allowing Emily to head straight over after work.
As the nights began to draw in after the autumn equinox, by the time Estelle arrived at the 9th Mansion with Kya in
her arms, the hotel was beautifully illuminated, bathing the whole place in a sea of colorful lights.
As she walked through the lobby holding Kya, she noticed a bunch of young people, both male and female, dressed
in trendy and alternative styles. They looked like students.
As Estelle carried Kya past this group, a voice suddenly shouted, “Can everyone quiet down? Antonia is on the
phone!”
The crowd instantly fell silent.

She was standing by the reception desk on her phone, her voice sweet and delicate, “Morrison, I’m here at the 9th
Mansion with some friends. We’ve got quite a group and we’d like to use your private room, but the receptionist is
saying no. Can you say something to her?”
Everyone seemed to revolve around Antonia. When she spoke, everyone waited in silence.
Antonia handed the phone to the receptionist. Upon hearing whatever Morrison was saying, the receptionist quickly
responded, “Of course, Mr. Langston, we understand!”
After hanging up, the receptionist said with a smile, “Ms. Antonia, Mr. Langston said you can use his private room.”
Antonia shot a cold look at the receptionist, “Remember my relationship with Mr. Langston. If you dare to stop me
again, I’ll report you!”
The receptionist’s face turned slightly pale, but she didn’t dare to speak up.
Antonia motioned for her friends to follow her upstairs. As the crowd moved past, they pushed Estelle aside.
A girl next to Antonia complimented her, “Antonia, you’re so powerful! One phone call and everything is sorted!”
“It’s just using Morrison’s private room, it’s not a big deal. Of course Morrison would agree!” Antonia snorted.
Another girl quickly chimed in, “True, even if Antonia wanted the stars from the sky, Mr. Langston would go and
fetch them for her!”
“Exactly, Mr. Langston indulges Antonia the most. Even Magdalen has to step aside!”
“Magdalen is nothing. Last time, didn’t Mr. Langston cancel his date with Magdalen to accompany Antonia to an
audition?”
“Mr. Langston and the Sampson family are just business allies. I don’t think he even likes Magdalen, otherwise why
hasn’t he proposed after all these years?”
Antonia’s lips curled into a smile, her heart blooming with joy as she was ushered into the elevator by her friends.
Estelle took another elevator to the private room booked by Magdalen.
Upon entering, she spotted Kevin singing and instinctively frowned.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm“Kya, my sweet girl!” Magdalen saw Kya and ran over excitedly, scooping her up in her arms and spinning around.
“Pretty Magdalen!”
Kya giggled with delight.
Estelle watched the two of them play and then walked towards the balcony.
It was still warm since it was just past the autumn equinox, but the night air was slightly chilly
Magdalen left Kevin to his singing and walked over with Kya, handing Estelle a cocktail, “Why are you out here all by
yourself, trying to look mysterious?” Estelle leaned against the railing, sipped her drink, and asked in a soft voice,
“Why did you bring Kevin to Emily’s celebration party? Are you two that close?”
Magdalen laughed without a care, “Kevin asked me out a few days ago, but I’ve been too busy. So, I decided to
bring him to the gathering today Why don’t you like him?”
Estelle glanced at Kevin who was still singing, her eyes clear and sharp, “I just feel that it’s a little odd to suddenly
have someone like him around you.” “What’s odd about it? Don’t be so sensitive! Magdalen laughed dismissively.
“We’re just making friends!”
Estelle could only hope that she was being overly sensitive
