Chapter 419
“Nah, I just wanna make some friends.” Carson smiled and glanced at Emily, acting casual as he
continued chatting with Josiah.
Yvonne poured drinks for Estelle and Emily and warmly smiled, “Even though this is Carson’s villa, we
used to hang out here all the time and treat it like our own place. So, you two shouldn’t feel like
outsiders, and don’t be shy!”
Emily immediately replied, “No worries, you guys are all really nice.”
Yvonne said, “If they say anything inappropriate, just let me know, and I’ll sort them out!”
Although Emily hadn’t thought much about it, Yvonne’s comment made her feel a bit awkward, She
quickly brushed it off.
On the other side of the long table, Jonathan leaned back in his chair, listening to Carson and Josiah’s
conversation with a calm expression. He occasionally glanced in Estelle’s direction, his lips slightly

Charlie sat next to him, raising an eyebrow, “You were sulking just before and didn’t even want to see
her. Why the sudden change in mood?”
Jonathan acted mysterious, “I’ve always been like this. Are you the only one who can see it?!”
“Don’t even try to deny it!” Charlie laughed.
As they spoke, a servant came over to serve the dishes, including a dessert called Snow Mountain
Cheese. Jonathan softened his gaze and quietly said, “Take the dessert over to the ladies, will you?”
“Yes!” The servant immediately obeyed, carrying the dessert away.
Charlie stared at Jonathan, chuckling sarcastically, “I’m really curious about what happened on your
way here?”
Jonathan smirked wickedly, “I’m not telling you!”
Charlie stared at Jonathan’s smug expression and sighed, “You’re done, man,”
Jonathan looked at him in confusion.
Charlie spoke sincerely, “Estelle hasn’t even done anything, and you’re already losing your mind with
happiness. You’re so whipped!”
Jonathan’s heart skipped a beat, realizing Charlie was right. Estelle hadn’t explained her relationship
with Xavier or even shown any intention of making up. Just one question about Hattie made him feel
like all misunderstandings settled.
Charlie gloated, “Shocked by your own realization, aren’t you?”
Jonathan, his mood deflated, shot Charlie a cold glance, “People like you are destined to be alone!”
Charlie laughed carelessly, “Don’t worry, I’ll never be lonely! There will always be beautiful women in
this world. As long as there are beautiful women, I won’t be lonely!”
Jonathan raised an eyebrow, thinking that one day a woman would surely get Charlie and make him
wish he were dead!
Charlie offered a cigarette to Jonathan, “Stop worrying about me, just think about how to make Estelle
happy.”

Charlie smirked, “why, you’re quitting again?”
Jonathan subconsciously glanced at Estelle and smiled faintly, “One day, you’ll find out that having
someone to care about is a wonderful feeling, far better than your empty happiness.”
Charlie scoffed, “Whatever, Mr. Noble. Bet you can’t resist getting into bed with her!”
Jonathan raised an eyebrow, sipped his tea, and said solemnly, “That’s called sublimation.”
Charlie burst into laughter, “I don’t believe there’s any difference!”
Jonathan didn’t bother arguing and just sipped his tea.
Over at Estelle’s side, the servant placed the dessert in the middle of the table and said, “Mr. Lamont
had me bring it over.”
Yvonne’s face instantly lit up with a smile, and she said warmly, “The good thing about being
together for a long time is understanding each other. Jonathan still remembers my love for cheese even
after all the years I’ve been away from home.”
