Chapter 452
Yvonne kept a straight face, as usual, and had dinner with Mrs. Lamont, praising Mrs. Lamont for her
increasingly good complexion, and praising the Lamont family’s chef for his increasingly good cooking
skills…
Henson, while others were talking, sent Jonathan a message, “Uncle, did you go send Ms. Macclain
off?”
Jonathan quickly replied, “Yeah, what’s up?”
Henson replied with a frown, “You don’t like Yvonne anymore? You got a thing for Ms. Macclain now?”
Jonathan, still driving, showed his phone to Estelle and laughed, “See? You can’t hide it when you like
someone!”
Estelle’s face turned slightly red, she took his phone and typed, “You’re overthinking it, just giving your
teacher a lift on the way.”
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtHenson replied, “Oh, OK!”
Jonathan turned his head and questioned, “What did you tell him?”
Estelle smiled playfully, replying, “I simply explained why you were giving me a ride!”
Jonathan glanced at his phone and remarked, “Using the ‘on the way‘ excuse again? I’ve used that
excuse so many times, don’t you think they might be getting suspicious? Maybe we should just go
public with our relationship. If worse comes to worst, you can quit tutoring Henson, and I’ll find him
another tutor.”
Estelle raised an eyebrow and teased, “Mr. Lamont, are you planning to sacrifice your nephew for me?”
Jonathan chuckled lightly and replied, “You both call me uncle, so let’s not talk about sacrificing
anyone. I will indeed find him a new tutor. I can’t play favorites!”
Estelle couldn’t help but burst into laughter, turning her gaze towards the window. Her reflection on the
glass revealed her delightful expression, her eyes crinkling
with mirth.
Despite Jonathan’s response, Henson’s suspicions remained. After all, the frequent coincidences and
his uncle always being “on the way” raised doubts in his mind. He looked up at Yvonne and began to
get torn inside, not knowing which woman would be better for his uncle to like.
He always thought his uncle would marry Yvonne. But if Jonathan and Ms. Macclain got hitched, he
wouldn’t be so resistant!
It would be awesome if Jonathan could marry both of them, then he’d have two aunts!
Yvonne probably noticed Henson looking at her and smiled, “Henson has really grown a lot. I’ve heard
that he’s been ranking at the top of his class in school, too. I knew it! His parents‘ child couldn’t possibly
be mediocre. He just didn’t want to learn because he was having too much fun!”
Mrs. Lamont laughed, “We have to thank Ella for teaching him so well!”
“Tutoring is important, but the foundation of a child is even more important.” Yvonne gave Henson a
gentle smile, then looked back at Mrs. Lamont, “But, speaking of which, Ms. Macclain is really great
talented, beautiful and a good personality! It’s really hard to find a good tutor now. One of my mother’s
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmfriends hired a young and beautiful tutor for her son, but not long after, the tutor and her husband got
together, almost breaking up the family. My aunt was full of regret and kept blaming herself for bringing
a bitch into the house!”
Henson felt a slight twitch in his eyelid, sensing that Yvonne might be hinting at something.
Mrs. Lamont appeared contemplative and nodded in agreement, “Indeed, it’s important to know the
background of the tutor.”
Yvonne took the initiative to serve Mrs. Lamont some food and remarked, “That’s why I mentioned how
rare and excellent Ms. Macclain is as a tutor.”
In the afternoon, after Yvonne had departed, Mrs. Lamont summoned Henson with a serious
expression. “During dinner, what did Yvonne mean? I sensed a hidden meaning in her words, as if she
was intentionally trying to remind us of something.”
Henson responded, “Maybe not. Perhaps she was simply praising Ms. Macclain.”
Mrs. Lamont shook her head with a concerned expression and pondered for a moment. She furrowed
her brow and asked, “Is your father very close with Ms. Macclain?”
Henson’s eyes widened, and he shook his head in response.
