Chapter 561
“Mhm.” Estelle replied
After they got back, they took a shower and Jonathan went to his study to deal with work stuff while
Estelle worked on her designs.
Having had some ideas in mind, Estelle finished the drafts quickly. When she completed, she went to
the living room to watch a movie.
Jonathan had to change his plans for the next day, so he had two video conferences in a row. When he
came out of his study, it was already dark outside. The curtains in the living room were drawn, making it
even dimmer, with only the flickering light of the TV.
He glanced at the screen just in time to see a disheveled zombie woman lunging at the camera,
Frowning, he went straight to turn off the TV.
Estelle looked up at him, puzzled. “I was watching that!”

this stuff, Jonathan said firmly. picking Estelle up from the sofa. “What do you want to eat tonight?”
Estelle smiled warmly. “Are you cooking?”
“Mhm!” Jonathan nodded.
Estelle spoke softly, “I ate too much at lunch and I’m not hungry yet. Can’t think of what I’d want to eat.”
“Then Ill cook something light, Jonathan said, putting Estelle down and rolling up the sleeves of his
gray shirt. Just wait in the living room, it’ll be ready soon!”
“I’ll help you!”
Estelle followed Jonathan to the kitchen..
The two worked together, chatting and laughing, making cooking seem not so boring.
The next afternoon, Magdalen called Estelle, inviting her to the cocktail party.
Mr. Mayfield’s movie was partially funded by Morrison’s company.
Estelle called Jonathan, telling him not to pick her up as she’d go with Magdalen.
Since Jonathan was busy, he replied, “Sounds good. I’ll be late anyway, so ride with Magdalen and let
me know when you get there.”
Estelle agreed, hung up the phone, changed her clothes, and waited for Magdalen to pick her up.
At four in the afternoon, Magdalen arrived on time. Seeing Estelle wearing a normal beige dress and a
dark sweater she frowned. “Are you really going to wear this to a company event?”
Estelle didn’t mind, “I’m not the star of the show, no one will care what I’m wearing.”
Magdalen sighed, “You’re wasting your beauty, girl!”
Estelle glanced at her, “Does the outfit look good, or I do?”
Magdalen replied, “Of course you do!”
Estelle raised an eyebrow, “Well, there you go!”
Magdalen couldn’t argue with her and wanted to take her to get a new outfit and makeover, but Estelle
refused.

Morrison was not only one of the investors but also an important guest at the party. Magdalen was his
date and dress to impress. whereas Estelle was just a small designer assistant invited by the movie
team.
Their roles were completely different Estelle didn’t need to dress up.
When they arrived at the hotel where the party was held, they got out of the car, and a doorman came
to park the car.
The party was in a luxurious estate-style hotel frequented by the wealthy and the well-known. The
estate had good privacy measures in place so that even A-list stars like Wonne could show up without
being photographed or having their whereabouts leaked.
The estate had beautifully landscaped outdoor gardens. With time to spare, the two took a tour along
the shady paths in a golf cart. The driver was a handsome young man who, sitting with two beauties,
enthusiastically introduced the layout of the estate, telling them where to get spa treatments, where the
hot springs were, and which restaurant had the best food.
As they sat in the cart, with the gentle breeze blowing. Magdalen leaned over to Estelle and whispered,
“I have a secret for you!”
“What?” Estelle turned to her.
