Chapter 20
A “slap” rang in Raymond’s head. He felt like he had just been slapped hard by Scarlett.
The slap was invisible, but it was more embarrassing than a real slap.
His face darkened, and he looked coldly at Frank. “What’s there to look at?”
Frank stiffened and stood there while Raymond looked at him, his scalp tingling.
Nonetheless, Scarlett did not sound like she was joking earlier. Frank had also heard much about her
these days.
He realized that the former Mrs. Shaw was not quite the same as what he thought.
“Mr. Shaw, Miss Reed sounded very mad. I-I think you’d better go and take a look.”
Raymond put down the pen in his hand. “What were her exact words?”
Frank trembled. “I-I dare not say it.”

“Miss Reed said, ‘Please ask Raymond to come over to Shop A’s counter on the fourth floor of Central
Plaza and get rid of the bad old lady from her family and his new lover. If he comes later than half an
hour, don’t blame me for being rude!’”
It was worth noting that Frank was indeed a qualified secretary. He was able to repeat the complex and
argumentative sentences word for word with accuracy.
The only thing was that Raymond’s face was more than just frighteningly cold after Frank finished.
Raymond only felt that his temples were twitching. Scarlett’s words were like thorns that stabbed his
body, making him feel uncomfortable.
He had always disliked getting involved in women’s affairs, but he could not hold it back anymore today.
“Prepare the car!”
“Yes, Mr. Shaw!”
Frank sighed a breath of relief. He immediately left and had someone prepare the car, afraid that
Raymond would regret it.
At the same time, Scarlett had just managed to persuade Alexis. She looked straight at Julie.” Miss
Woods, you’re really too free. Since you like to stir up trouble so much, I’ll do as you wish.”
After she said that, she paused for a while before she continued, “I’ve informed Raymond’s
secretary to ask Raymond to come over. Madam Shaw, didn’t you suspect that I took a share of the
Shaw family’s money after the divorce? Let your son tell you himself if I did or not!
“As for you, Miss Woods, since you didn’t dare to look for Raymond and came to find me instead, I’ll help
you solve this problem today as well!” 1
Jean was so mad that she had lost her rationality. Earlier on, Alexis had thrown a bunch of clothes in her
face. If not for Julie persuading and stopping her, she would have fought with Alexis.
When she heard Scarlett mention Raymond, she became much calmer. She scoffed while she tidied

Seeing as they had finally calmed down, the shop assistants immediately separated the two parties and
comforted them.
This plaza was not far from Tenton, so Raymond arrived very quickly.
As soon as he entered the door, he saw Scarlett sitting next to Alexis.
She wore a plain tunic dress today, and she still looked graceful as she sat there.
Scarlett stood up when she saw him. She walked to his front with cold eyes and said, “Mr. Shaw, I know
you’re busy, but you should give your family a specific explanation about our divorce. Don’t let your
people pester me shamelessly. It’s disgusting.
“Also, control the people around you. If this happens again, it won’t be as simple as asking you to come
and take them away.”
After Scarlett finished, she turned to look at Alexis. Alexis was startled for a while before she came back
to her senses, then she picked up her bag and went after her. Raymond’s face was blue as he stood
there.
