Chapter 889
Flora paused, her fingers hovering over her phone as she took in the message from Crimson. She was perched
on her bed, typing away with one hand. "Showwhat you've found," she typed back.
Minutes ticked by before an email from Crimson popped up. Flora grabbed her tablet, logged in, and clicked open
the email. Inside was a folder.
As she delved into each file, her expression becincreasingly grave. There were just too many coincidences.
Her parents’ deaths and Abbey's sudden disappearance seemed too conveniently linked. From her previous run-
in with them, she knew their hacking skills were top-notch, almost as if they wanted her to discover this.
Otherwise, there was no way Crimson could have unearthed it.
With a sigh, Flora rubbed her temples, feeling a mix of irritation and unease. Everything seemed to be spiraling
into a tangled mess, a fog of doubts clouding her mind. She hated this feeling.
"What's on your mind?"

Connor entered the room quietly, spotting her lost in thought, phone in hand, oblivious to his presence.
"Oh, nothing." Flora flashed a smile, quickly locking her phone.
"Cover here, let's get that bandage changed." Connor headed to the sofa, setting the first-aid kit on the
coffee table, his voice gentle.
Flora made her way over, sitting across from him and offering her hand. Connor carefully unwrapped the
bandage, his touch gentle. The wound had scabbed over nicely and was healing well.
"You're healing up fine, but as the new skin grows, it'll itch. Try not to scratch it," Connor advised, applying fresh
ointment with a hint of rambling.
Flora rested her chin on her uninjured hand, watching him. The warm glow from the overhead lamp cast soft
shadows on his face, highlighting his nearly perfect jawline. His focus was entirely on her hand, his actions
tender and precise. Wow. He really is something.
Once done, Connor closed the kit and looked up, catching her gaze.
"Why are you staring atlike that?"
"Connor, you're just so handsome, | can't help it," Flora admitted.
Connor blinked, then chuckled softly,
his dark eyes twinkling with amusement, like scattered starlight Clearly pleased, his Adam's apple bobbed as he
laughed, adding a touch of allure. Flora just kept watching, her gaze growing more intense.
Before she knew it, she leaned in and kissed him-right on his Adam's apple.
Connor's expression shifted, his eyes darkening with a new intensity.
The next morning, at 9:30, Flora finished getting ready and headed downstairs, She was to represent the Reyes
family racing team, and she
was curious to meet the drivers she'd be racing alongside. Kruz tagged along with her.
At the Reyes family estate, the young racers were buzzing with disbelief.

"Mr. Adrian, are you serious? You're saying the young miss is joining us for the selection race?"
The young men were incredulous, almost questioning reality.
"Do | look like I'm joking?" Adrian replied with a straight face. "Don't underestimate my sister. Her racing skills
are top-tier."
"Mr. Adrian, we know you adore your sister, but isn't that a bit much?"
"Even if the young miss isn't the best driver, we'd never disrespect her."
They wouldn't dare belittle Miss Flora; after all, she was the reason they had access to those exclusive
supplements, and they respected her deeply. But the thought of Flora racing with them still seemed a bit out
there.
"Mr. Adrian, | mean no disrespect to
the young miss, but having her compete seems a bit reckless," Andy, a young man with a crew cut, chimed in. In
the Reyes family team, apart from Adrian, Andy was the most skilled behind the wheel.
