21 A soft kiss When Alessandro returned to his chambers that night he saw April very scared, normally she

always looked nervous but that day she seemed even worse.

_ What's the matter? _Today Lady Elizabeth explained tohow babies are made and it is horrible.

April answered with glassy eyes.

Alessandro wondered what Lady Elizabeth had said to her to put her in that state, he didn't know if it would have

been better not to have said anything.

Alessandro sat on the edge of the bed and asked.

her lower lip and deepened a kiss, April felt her face burning, it was as if she suddenly had a fever, her breathing

becragged and she felt a strange tingling in her body, Alessandro continued kissing her, his kisses stopped

being tender and innocent and becintense, he introduced his tongue in April's mouth, massaging it slowly,

that scared her, she pushed him away and stared

at him with her face dyed red.

_I think that's enough for today, we'd better go to sleep.

April got under the blankets and covered herself up to her head, Alessandro lay down next to her, that night she

didn't hug him, but stayed to one side, motionless.

The next day Alessandro woke up before her, normally he always had a hard tgetting up since he only

managed to sleep a few hours, but since Abril slept with him he woke up rested and full of energy, he wondered

if it was due to his power.

After changing, he stared at the princess.

She looked extremely small in that big bed.

"She's too thin," he said in his mind.

Upon leaving her chambers, she went to the dining room to have breakfast and ordered the butler to see that

the princess had a good diet.

That day two maids went to wake April, they helped her get dressed even though she insisted that it was not

necessary, when she left the king's chambers, the butler approached her and said.

_From now on your meals will be in the palace.

April found it annoying having to go to the palace to eat every day since her small house was far from the main

palace, she replied.

_It was an order from his majesty.

"It's an order from the king, you can't refuse." April sighed heavily, hating the idea of having to spend so much

tin the main palace.

April walked behind the butler, as they walked through the halls she told him.

_Lady Elizabeth will also cthis afternoon, so you must stay at the palace all day.

April nodded and in her heart she wished that this would end as soon as possible so she could return to her

peaceful days.

She felt uncomfortable being in the palace because she always heard the murmur of the maids mocking her and

looking at her with contempt.

She was not welcin that place and no one bothered to hide it.

That day April couldn't return to her little house that had beca refuge for her, all morning Sirius was

teaching her the principles of magic, the food at the palace was luxurious and delicious that day, but she still

wanted to go back to her little house.

During the afternoon she was with Lady Elizabeth, she continued teaching her more about the duties of a wife.

When dinner tcame, one of the maids went to look for April, she took her to the dining room where Cassian

and Alessandro were, she was surprised since she had thought she would eat alone, Cassian told her _Sit next to

April sat next to Cassian and wondered why they were joining her for dinner tonight.

Cassian hadn't been able to see April all day because she had been very busy, when night cher leg started

to hurt, so he had asked one of the maids to take her to the dining room to accompany them during dinner, he

had mentioned it to Alessandro shortly before she arrived, he didn't say anything but he didn't seem to be

bothered either, Cassian wondered if his relationship with the princess was improving.
