Eric and the doctor left one after the other.

Ella was still burning hot, her cheeks flushed. At that moment, she was in no good shape and feverish to the

point of talking

nonsense.

The doctor had said that using cooling methods would help her recover faster. With no other choice, Lorenzo

eventually brought a basin of water and undressed Ella completely. He wasn’t a gentle person and had never

done anything so detailed

before.

‘What a hassle,’ he thought. He found Ella quite bothersome, and if it weren't for Sebastian and Stephanie, he

wouldn't have

dealt with her at all.

The doctor was right; physical cooling worked faster. Soon, Ella’s fever began to go down. Now, Lorenzo didn’t

bother with her anymore. He just threw a blanket over her and left.

The next morning, when Ella woke up and realized she was completely undressed under the blanket, she was in

shock. Panic rose within her, and she let out a hysterical scream that even scared the birds outside.

When Stephanie was groggily awakened by her vibrating phone, Sebastian was already out of bed. Rubbing her

sleepy eyes, she tried to find her phone.

But she couldn't find the phone on the nightstand or under her pillow. In a rush, she searched everywhere and

finally discovered it under the bed. Seeing it was Ella calling, she quickly picked up. “Ella?”

Just then, Sebastian walked back into the room.

Stephanie had barely glanced at him when Ella suddenly burst into tears on the phone.

“What's wrong?” Stephanie asked, alarmed.

“I-1 think something has happened to me,” Ella sobbed.

Stephanie was stunned. “Should | call 911 for you?” she asked, still confused. But then it dawned on her. “Wait,

aren't you with Lorenzo?”

Given the trouble Ella’s family was facing, Stephanie believed that being with Lorenzo was the safest place for

her.

“Yeah,” Ella replied.

“So what happened?” Stephanie pressed.

“My clothes are gone,” Ella said, her voice trembling.

Stephanie was dumbfounded. Even though she had weathered many storms with Sebastian, hearing this from

Ella left her completely speechless.

Seconds later, she finally snapped back to reality amidst Ella’s sobs. “What do you mean by that?” she asked,

still confused. Ella said, “I have no idea what happened, and | don’t have anything withright now.”

Stephanie thought to herself, ‘A woman with a man and nothing on-something definitely happened, didn’t it? Oh

dear.’

“You two are moving way too fast,” Stephanie exclaimed. Compared to her and Sebastian, things were escalating

quickly between Ella and Lorenzo. After all, they had barely met each other.

“I don’t know what happened or who took off my clothes. 1...”

“I don’t believe Lorenzo is that type of person. It can’t be him.”

“Are you defending him?”
