Days drifted by with the endless autumn rain pattering gently against the windows. But on the day of the

engagement party, the sky broke into a clear, cheerful blue after days of gloom.

At the Owens family estate, the excitement was palpable. It was Allison's big day-her engagement party-and

everyone was up bright and early. Even Lizzy, who usually loved her lazy mornings, was up with the sun, twirling

in a lively dress.

In Allison's room, a team of stylists was working their magic. She wore that soft pink gown with a modern twist,

her hair elegantly pinned up and adorned with pearls. Lizzy, perched on the edge of the vanity, watched her

sister with wide eyes and a grin. “Allie, you look stunning today," she chirped.

Allison smiled warmly and gave Lizzy's cheek a playful pinch. Lizzy's round face suddenly looked serious, her

little brows knitting together. "Allie, when you get married, will you still cha lot?"

Allison paused, surprised by the question. She smiled reassuringly, her eyes soft. "Of course, | will. The Fisher's

Lizzy pouted, looking skeptical. “Really? These days, you don't even chevery day. How will you do it

after marrying Mr. Fisher?"

Lizzy held out her pinky. “Promise you'll visit often?"

Allison laughed softly, realizing her little sister was a tough negotiator. She linked her pinky with Lizzy's. “I

promise I'll cby whenever | can, alright? I'll be around a lot."

Lizzy nodded, satisfied with the answer. “Okay.”

They both smiled and sealed their promise with a pinky swear.

The engagement ceremony was set at the Fisher family's private estate on the outskirts of town. Joshua, eagerly

and nervously drove over to pick up Allison.

Javier and Linda were dressed to impress and waiting in the living room. Javier greeted Joshua with a big smile,

“Joshua, give us a minute. Allison will be right down."

Linda stood alongside, her smile gentle and genuine. Though Allison wasn't her biological daughter, her love was

no less. She whispered to herself, "Savannah, Allie is grown up and getting engaged today. You'd be so proud.

Joshua is a great guy, and he truly cares for Allie. She'll be happy, so rest easy."

They chatted lightly, filling the room with warmth. Soon, Lizzy dashed down the stairs, announcing with

excitement, “Allie is coming!"

Everyone turned to see Allison descending gracefully, a bouquet of fresh flowers in her arms. Joshua felt his

breath catch at the sight of her. The pink gown hugged her figure perfectly, accentuating her slender waist. Her

makeup was flawless, highlighting her striking features, and her hairstyle added an extra touch of elegance.

Though Joshua had seen her countless times, her beauty left him spellbound once again. A smile spread across

his face as he stepped forward, meeting her halfway to take her hand.

In the car, Joshua and Allison sat in the back seat, a quiet thrill between them. His excitement was barely

restrained. “Allie, this day is finally here."

Allison smiled with a shy blush on her cheeks. "I've been looking forward to it, too."

"I'm almost tempted to skip the engagement altogether and just marry you now, and make you Mrs. Fisher right

away," Joshua teased with a grin.
