Chapter 231
Megan tossed her hair back in a flirty way, linking her arm through Joshua's like she owned the place. "So, you're
Ms. Allison, right? Hi, I'm Megan, Joshua's girlfriend."
Joshua. Girlfriend.
Allison's eyes dropped to where Megan's hand rested, feeling like she'd been stabbed in the heart.
Joshua just stood there, glancing at the hand curled around his arm. He swallowed hard, eager to explain but the
words wouldn't come.
Sabrina had seen enough. She rushed over and pulled Megan's hand away. "Get your hands off him!"
"If you two wanna flaunt your love, do it somewhere else! This isn't the spot for your mushy stuff!" Sabrina's face
was red with anger, her eyes practically on fire. "What? Can't Joshua spring for a room?"
That was a bit much.

Brian jumped in, trying to be the peacemaker. "Con, let's all calm down. We're friends, no need to make this
ugly."
Sabrina fought against him. "Letgo, don't holdback!"
Brian held on, shooting her desperate looks to simmer down.
Megan just smiled, her tone sugary as she turned to Joshua, "Joshua, seems like your friends aren't too happy to
see us. Maybe we should get a room to ourselves?"
Megan nailed the perfect mix of sweetness and sass.
Allison's heart ached hearing this. Her eyes, wide and vulnerable, filled with tears, her nose stinging as she held
back sobs. She wouldn't cry in front of Joshua and Megan.
She looked at Joshua, voice shaky but trying to keep it together, "Joshua, there's got to be more to this, right? Tell
me, | can handle it. Please, don't do this. I'm really hurting... Can we just talk it out?"
Tears welled up even more, her voice breaking, "Didn't you say that as long as | didn't mention breaking up,
you'd never leave?"
Joshua's dark eyes were unreadable, like the ocean. He smirked, a
mocking tint on his lips. "Ms. Allison, we'r@grown-ups. Did you really buy into that fairy tale?"
Allison's face went white as a sheet. Her eyes were full of pain, her lips moving as
if to say something, but no words came.
Joshua couldn't bear Allison's look
any longer and turned away, his
voice icy cold, "Ms. Allison, net
I've said my piece. Let's not drag this out.
Let's keep it dignified."
Allison seemed to deflate, her shoulders sagging. She wobbled a bit and stepped aside to clear the doorway.

"Joshua, this is too much!" Sabrina yelled, ready to charge, but Brian held her back with all his might.
"Sabrina, don't lose it, stay calm!" Brian was desperately trying to hold the peace.
Olivia comforted Allison while giving her brother George a meaningful look. George leaned in and whispered
something to Joshua, who left with Megan. "I'm so mad, | could scream! They're just too much!" Sabrina ranted.
Brian, still holding onto her, felt completely overwhelmed.
Suddenly, Sabrina turned her glare on Brian.
Brian felt the storm brewing. Sure enough, Sabrina let loose on him, landing a punch. "You can just get lost too!"
"Hey, this isn't on me!" Brian protested, feeling like the most wronged person in the room.
