Chapter 232

Sabrina was fuming. "If you hadn't meddled and brought Joshua here, none of this would've happened! Today

was supposed to be about cheering up Allie, but instead, she ended up even more hurt. Get out, just go!"

As she spoke, Sabrina started pushing him towards the door.

Olivia turned to her brother, George, and said, "Hey, why don't you and Brian head out? Sabrina and | will stay

with Allie. Us girls can manage this better."

George just nodded silently, leading Brian out with him.

As Joshua and Megan stepped out of the room, the door had barely closed behind them when he shook off her

hand. Megan just shrugged, acting like it was no big deal.

Walking towards the elevator, she asked nonchalantly, "So, what's your plan now? You really upset her today.

How are you gonna fix this?"

Joshua's lips tightened, his long fingers clenching into fists at his side, but he stayed silent.

His mind was filled with the image of Allison's pale face and her wounded eyes. Saying those hurtful things, even

though he didn't mean them, hurt him just as much. He had meant it when he promised never to leave her

He never imagined he'd end up saying, "You actually believe such fairy tales?" in such a mocking way.

Back in the suite, once the guys left, the room fell silent.

Sabrina grabbed two bottles of fancy red wine from the cabinet. "Allie, don't waste your tears on that jerk. He's

not worth it. Tonight, let's drink and forget about him. You're gorgeous and loaded; you can have any guy you

want."

She popped open a bottle as she spoke. "There are plenty of fish in the sea! Tomorrow, we'll get you smale

models, ten of them!"

Allison sat on the sofa, her eyes full of sadness, unable to muster any excitement.

A few glasses in, Allison started feeling a bit dizzy. It was her first tdrinking.

With a wine glass in one hand and her phone in the other, Sabrina

opened her social media, "Lettell you, Allie, know loads of

good-looking guys. Look at this one six-foot-two, with an eight-pack, and still in college." Céntent belongs to

Sabrina leaned over to show Allison the photo. "Not bad, right?"

She was about to add that even though this guy wasn't as handsas Joshua, he was definitely one of the

most attractive at their college. Plus, he was young and full of life, untike Joshua.

But she held back those words-Joshua was a no-go topic.

Allison's eyes drifted over the phone screen, and she giggled, "He's really nice."

"Right? I've got loads more. Let me

show you." Sabrina swiped through her phone. "Check this one out-six-foot-three, an athlete, great body. His

skin's a bit tanned, and that gives him a rugged, sexy look. Wantto introduce you?"

Allison, tipsy and grinning, nodded, "Sure."

The three girls continued drinking and chatting, losing track of time.

The New Year's countdown began.

"Nineteen, eighteen, seventeen..."

The three girls raised their glasses, shouting together, "Three, two, one, Happy New Year!"

Fireworks lit up the night sky in a dazzling display.

Down below, the crowd buzzed with excitement.

Allison sat cross-legged on the plush carpet by the floor-to-ceiling window,

barefoot, her eyes dreamy as she watched the fireworks.

A new year had begun. Joshua, it's tto say goodbye. In this new year, | wish

you happiness every day.

Goodbye, Joshua.
