Good thing he gave Sabrina a heads-up earlier.

Sabrina had been venting a lot about Joshua lately, so when Joshua asked him to help deliver a car, the first

thing he did when he got hwas spill the beans to Sabrina. He explained that Joshua felt guilty and bought a

car as a breakup gift. Sabrina rolled her eyes, clearly unimpressed. "Just a car? Joshua's so stingy."

"Hold on, it gets better. There are slimited-edition Chanel bags in the car too. Joshua said you and Olivia

each get one, and the rest are for Allie. But here's the catch—you've got to tell Allie that you and Olivia bought

those bags to cheer her up. Don't let her know they're from Joshua."

The moment Sabrina heard "limited-edition Chanel bags," her eyes lit up. "Where are they? Show me!"

Brian led her to the car, and Sabrina was practically drooling with excitement. "Whoa, | couldn't get my hands on

that white one before. Joshua must have sserious connections to score three of them! Great taste! Olivia

and Allie love this style too, one for each of us. Joshua really thought this through."

Brian pulled out a sleek black card. "And here's a card for you. Soon, Allie's law firm is going on holiday, so take

her on a nice trip-all expenses on Joshua."

Sabrina snatched the card with a dismissive snort. "Now we're talking. But don't think that just because | took his

stuff, I'm on his side. To me, Joshua's always going to be a heartless jerk!"

Brian sighed, rubbing his temples. "Yeah, yeah, whatever you say. Just please look after Allie with Olivia for now."

He still couldn't tell Sabrina the real reason behind Joshua and Allison's breakup.

Let them think Joshua's a jerk; this was his mess anyway. Being called a few names shouldn't be a big deal,

right?

Meanwhile, over in Joshua's office...

"Achoo—" Joshua frowned, grabbed a tissue for his nose, and headed to the bathroom to wash his hands.

Strange, he wasn't sick, so what's with the sudden sneeze?

"Yeah, Allie, | got my brother to buy this car to make things right with you, so just take it. A million bucks is no

biggie. If you don't, he'll keep nagging me," Sabrina's voice cthrough the phone.

Allison didn't trust Brian, but she trusted her best friend Sabrina.

She said, "Well... okay, it's really not a big deal. Go easy on Brian; he's just a bit clueless. | know he didn't mean

anything by it."

Listening in, Brian felt both touched and guilty.

‘Allison, I'm sorry. | didn't mean to

deceive you. This is a

well-intentioned lie, and | hope you

won't hold it againstwhen you find out.

After hanging up, Allison handed Brian's phone back to him. "Alright, Brian, I'll accept the car. Thank you."

Brian let out a relieved breath and smiled. "No problem at all."

Allison took the keys and walked over to open the car door, spotting the passenger seat piled high with Chanel

bags. She paused and turned to Brian, "What's all this?"

Brian quickly cup with a story. "Oh, those are the bags Sabrina and Olivia bought for you, to cheer you up."

Allison snapped a picture and sent it to Sabrina and Olivia. They had already coordinated their story, which

matched Brian's exactly, so

her heart as she thanked her two friends and shared a few heartfelt words.

Seeing the moment was right, Brian said, "Alright, you have plans tonight, so | won't keep you. You should take

the car home."

Allison asked, "Brian, you drove this car here. If | take it, how will you get back? Wantto give you a ride?"

Brian waved it off. "I'll call the family driver to pickup. | need to grab Sabrina a drink from her favorite

smoothie shop nearby."

Joshua's car was actually parked in the underground lot of the nearby mall, and he needed to meet him soon.

Allison saw no issue and waved, "Alright then, I'm off. Bye."

"Bye."
