Olivia made sure her friend got hsafe and sound, giving the housekeeper slast-minute instructions

before heading out herself.

Allison was sprawled on the bed, mumbling gibberish. Shannon had just reached the kitchen to whip up some

hangover coffee when the doorbell rang.

When she opened the door, Shannon was caught off guard. "Mr. Fisher, what are you doing here?"

"How is she?"

"Ms. Allison had a bit too much. | was about to make scoffee to help her sober up."

Joshua pulled out a few bills from his wallet. "You can take the night off; I'll look after her."

Without bothering to rest, Joshua headed straight to Allison's room. The door was

slightly ajar. As he stepped in, he heard her muttering in her sleep.

"Why don't you want me..."

Hearing her soft sobs, his heart twisted painfully.

He quickly moved to her side. Allison continued her fragmented sleep talk.

"Joshua, you're a jerk... | don't want you... Go away..."

His eyes softened, and he gently wiped away her tears, his voice soothing and tender. "Yeah, I'm a big jerk."

Even in sleep, Allison seemed to feel Joshua's presence and instinctively scooted closer. "Joshua..."
