Go Away, I’m a Billionairess Now By Evie Cole Chapter 19 Really Good-Looking
Samara had an early meeting today. It was already past eleven o’clock when she came out of the
meeting room.
She came from the headquarters. And as soon as she came, she was the most powerful person besides
the CEO. She had been here for only a few days, and the employees in Elephant Group had already
come up with thirteen different stories about Samara’s background.
Among them, the most plausible story was that Samara was the mistress of someone in high places in
the headquarters because no one could find out anything about Samara’s four–year gap since she
graduated. Obviously, she had found a sugar daddy.
Although Samara intended to take over the family company, she had no plans to reveal her identity for
the time being. Therefore, only Jimena, who had come here with Samara, knew the company was owned
by Samara’s family.
Yes, even the CEO, Rogelio Silva, did not know this.
Rogelio thought more than his subordinates. The headquarters suddenly sent such a young woman over
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtand put her in a high position that was only second to his. Based on his many years of working
experience, Rogelio’s first thought was that the headquarters wanted to replace him.
Samara was in quite an awkward and difficult position because she had to deal with all the hostility from
both her superiors and inferiors. Otherwise, Rogelio would not have made her go to the dinner party last
night.
However, Samara loved challenges. She asked to work here to get tempered, so she would not cry
for help so soon.
After hearing Jimena’s words, Samara smiled, “Just let them.”
In the three years that she had been in the Humphrey family, she had gotten used to people talking
shit about her.
Jimena nodded and commented on Rogelio’s actions, “They have agreed to give that piece of land to the
Wilson family. Rogelio gave you the job obviously to intimidate you.
Samara raised her eyebrows. “Nathan Wilson?”
“Right,” Jimena answered.
Samara glanced at Jimena and smiled meaningfully, “Let’s see whether it will be an obstacle or a
stepping stone for me.”
Rogelio wanted to scare her by making her compete with Nathan, one of Chaim’s friends.
This was interesting.
Samara rarely got scared off by anything. That piece of land wouldn’t necessarily go to the Wilson family
in the end.
Jimena was stunned for a moment before she said, “Ms. Novak, you seem to have got a plan.”
Samara smiled and said nothing.
Jimena understood and did not continue asking. She handed the invitation that she had just
received to Samara. “Ms. Novak, this is the invitation for the anniversary celebration of Goodview
Group.”
Samara took the invitation and looked at the date. It was Friday night.
“Okay.”
Judging from Samara’s reaction, Jimena guessed that Samara would attend it.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏmGisselle loved fun. Goodview Group was owned by the Clayton family. The Humphreys would naturally
be invited too. Therefore, Gisselle personally picked a dress and had someone bring it back from Paris.
On Friday, she took Samara to the beauty salon at three in the afternoon. After more than two hours of
beauty treatment, it was a two–hour makeup time.
When the two arrived at the entrance of the hotel, it was already 7:30, half an hour into the event.
Tonight, all the rich girls in Houston were there. Samara must teach those who had laughed at her a
good lesson tonight!
Coincidentally, just as she got out of the car, Samara ran into Natalee and Gloria.
One was her ex–mother–in–law, and one was her ex–sister–in–law.
Because Samara was dressed, Natalee and Gloria did not recognize her right away.
Looking at Samara, Natalee smiled and praised, “I wonder which family she is from. She’s so beautiful. I
haven’t met her before.”
Gloria agreed. “Mom, I don’t know her either, but she is really good–looking! After we get in, I’ll ask for
her number. I’ll introduce her to my brother later. Then you won’t have to worry about not having a
daughter–in–law!”
