Chapter 262 The Mastermind Must Be Chaim’s Enemy
When Samara woke up, it was already dawn.
Samara moved a little and found that somehow, she had got into the bed.
The curtains were all closed, and the sunlight could not filter into the room. The room was a little dim,
but when the wind blew the curtains, the light would slant through the slits.
Samara was drugged after getting drunk. Now that she had woken up, Samara had a headache.
Samara wanted to check the time and raised her hand. Then she remembered that her cell phone was
not here.
Samara rubbed her temples and sat up. The collar of her dress was torn by Chaim yesterday.
Fortunately, her suit jacket was buttoned.
When Samara’s mind was in a mess last night, her buttons were crooked. The third button on the left
was in the first hole on the right. Samara undid it and buttoned it again.

After the effects of the medicine disappeared, Samara felt a little cold in the 64 °F room.
Just as she came out of the quilt, Samara trembled slightly.
She found a pair of slippers and put them on. She walked to the window and drew back the curtains.
Only then did Samara realize there was a balcony outside the picture window. Chaim was on the
balcony in a bathrobe and smoking.
When Chaim saw Samara, he blinked his eyes.
“Good morning,” Chaim said as he put out his cigarette.
Samara’s gaze landed on the red marks on his face. She nodded and replied in a hoarse voice, “Yes.”
Chaim walked into the room. “The door is still locked.”
“Oh.”
Samara responded indifferently and entered the bathroom. She washed her face and brushed her
teeth.
When Samara came out of the bathroom, Chaim was sitting on the sofa. He looked at her. “Do you
have a suspect for what happened last night?”
When Samara heard this question, she frowned. “No.”
Samara thought, they must be really bold to have offended the Novak family and the Humphrey family at the same time.
They managed to take Chaim and me here. I’m sure that the mastermind is no ordinary person.
The person must be either my enemy or Chalm’s.
If it’s someone that I feuded with before, it will be hard to find out. If the mastermind is someone that I
met in the last few
years, he is probably related to the Humphrey family.
Gloria is stupid, but she doesn’t dare to lay her hands on Chalm.
Serena and Camille won’t do it either. All they want is to marry into the Humphrey family. They probably want Chaim and me to be strangers.
My former enemies couldn’t even afford to offend the Novak family. How would they dare to offend the

If the person isn’t my enemy, he must be Chaim’s.
Samara stopped wondering and looked up at Chaim. “You know all the people who hate me and are
able to harm me.”
Chaim understood what she meant. His face darkened. “I will ask someone to investigate it.”
She replied, “OK.”
Samara saw the remote control on the table and picked it up. “I feel a little cold.”
“You can turn it up.”
Hearing that, Samara directly set the temperature to 79 °F.
After that, Samara didn’t speak again. Chaim looked at her but didn’t say anything. The room became
quiet again.
When Samara heard a sound from outside, she glanced at Chaim. “They are here to open the door.”
“Yes.”
Chaim looked at her and stood up.
When the door was kicked open, Samara and Chaim were surprised.
The person who kicked the door was also stunned when he saw them. “You…”
He thought, seem to interrupt something…
