Harvey home in her Bentley. But there was a traffic jam on the way. Hence, Harvey took his electric bike

out of the trunk to ride home. But his electric bike broke down, and he fell into the drain. Now he was

quite pathetic and awkward.

Harvey was about to take a bath and have a change of clothes. But Cecilia had seen him. She laughed

coldly and said, “The person appeared as soon as we talked about him. Here comes the good-for-

nothing! Harvey, did you fall into the toilet? You stink!”

Harvey did not want to be bothered by her. He put the big plastic bag in his hand at the corner of the

living room and was going to take a bath.

“Harvey, how bold of you to come home? Do you think that it’s a hotel here? Do you think that you can

come and leave at your own wishes?” At that moment, Lilian heard the noise. When she came out, her

facial expression was unpleasant.

‘If it’s not because of this good-for-nothing, how could Mandy’s significant contribution be snatched away

by Zack? It’s because of this jinx!’

Xynthia had walked out of the bedroom too. She glared at Harvey and said, “Harvey, how could you be

so d***y? Why didn’t you change your shoes when you came in? You even polluted our air! Do you still

want to stay here? If not, just get lost!”

Harvey looked at his mother-in-law and sister-in- law calmly. He did not want to say anything. If he ever

became infuriated because of them, he would have already been filled with deep wrath during the past

three years.

At that moment, he did not want to talk about such nonsense. He walked toward Mandy. At first, he had a

straight face. After he saw Mandy’s beautiful face, his heart softened. He said shyly, “Dear, didn’t you say

that your company is in need of eight hundred thousand dollars, I…”

Cecilia sneered. “Even a useless husband starts to learn to care about his wife. Is that so?” Cecilia

interrupted Harvey directly. “You’re not only a good -for-nothing, but you’re shameless too. You don’t

even have some self-awareness. How could you bring up such a sore subject! The others’ husbands will

certainly collect all the money needed when they know that their wives are in need of money even if they

have to use up all of their properties. But look at you! You’re so poor that you couldn’t even take out a

Hearing how bad Cecilia scolded Harvey, Mandy became soft-hearted. She then said, “Celia, just drop

it…”

“No matter what, it’s Harvey who rescued me when I was being seized by Don yesterday. I do feel

something for him.”

“Mandy, you’re just too kind and nice! If I were you, I would have divorced him a long time ago!”

“He sleeps in the study for as long as he’s married to you. You both never even shared a bedroom. I just

don’t know how you could stand facing this useless man every day. If I were you, I’d be disgusted even

by taking a glance at him. Do you know that? How could you bear it?”

“Yes!”‘ Angel echoed what Cecilia said beside her. “Mandy, don’t tell me that you’re touched because he

took your place as the hostage for a short while yesterday. Let me tell you. These b*stards are wicked

and cunning. Maybe he had conspired with Don beforehand just to fool you and to gain your affection

through deception. If not, why would Don let go of him that easily?”
