Chapter 455
“Agnes, you bitch, can’t believe you’d pull this on me. I won’t let you get away with this!”
No sooner had she finished speaking than she lunged at Agnes, trying to grab her by the throat.
But Ben stepped in front of Agnes, and with a casual swipe of his arm, sent Beatrice sprawling on the floor.
From her superior position, Agnes looked down at Beatrice. “Still haven’t learned your lesson, Beatrice? If I’m not
mistaken, you’ve only been out of prison for a month, and do you want to go back in?”
At the thought of her month in jail, Beatrice’s fingers clenched painfully. It had been the most torturous, shameful
month of her life.
Agnes had made her suffer, trashed her reputation, and she couldn’t do a damn thing about it.
Agnes was still Mrs. Whitfield, with Jared still watching her back.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇtThat miserable woman!
Beatrice swore she’d make her pay.
Laura had changed into a new outfit and emerged looking calm, surprisingly elegant and composed.
Sometimes Agnes had to hand it to her.
She was quite the sly fox.
In just a few minutes, with all the ups and downs, she went from being out of control to being calm.
Laura cut straight to the chase, “Agnes, we’re all family here. Exposing me doesn’t do you any good.”
Agnes retorted, “But it doesn’t do any harm either, Ms. Läura, right?”
“Don’t you care about your father’s reputation at all?”
“Given my father’s condition, who knows how much longer he has? Does his reputation still matter? Besides, Ms.
Laura, you’re already planning on divorcing him, right? If we’re all going our separate ways, I don’t see why I should
hold back.”
Laura frowned, silent for a moment, “What do you want?”
Agnes finally cracked a smile, “Ms. Laura, you sure are a smart one.”
Agnes pulled out some documents from her bag, “This is a divorce agreement. I don’t want to make things difficult
for you. Given the current state of my family, we can’t provide the life you want. Since you’ve betrayed my father,
I’ll make this decision on his behalf.”
Laura laughed, “You’re not going to let me off that easy, are you?”
“Naturally, it’s not that simple.” Agnes pulled out a second document, “Since you’re the one who betrayed my
father, it’s only fair that you forfeit all assets after the divorce. This is an agreement to that effect, including the
Pritchard family’s assets, trust funds, and the properties under your and my father’s names. Of course, as
compensation, you can take with you the jewelry and other personal items my father gifted you.”

with nothing?”
“Ms. Laura, your words are rather misplaced. My father entrusted his company to you, but it almost went under on
your watch, barely able to stay afloat. True colors show in times of hardship. My father’s condition is dire, yet I don’t
see you taking good care of him. Over the years, you’ve enjoyed a life of luxury, not looking after him. Of course, if
you refuse to sign this agreement, that’s fine. We can take the legal route. When all the evidence comes out, the
court will make its judgment. You might end up with nothing. Ms. Laura, I’m doing this only because you were once
married to my father, and I want to leave you some dignity.”
Agnes‘ words fell like pearls, one by one.
Though Laura was too angry to speak, she couldn’t deny the truth of Agnes‘ words.
If the video of her affair went public, she’d face not only public condemnation but also the law’s lack of mercy.
Either way, she’d end up with nothing.
