you pay,” Agnes said.

Jared stared at Agnes coldly, “Alnght, Agnes, you said it. If you want to know where your grandma is, follow me,

agree to my terms and I guarantee she won’t be hammed. On the contrary, fil take good care of her”

With that Jared turned around and walked back into the room.

Agnes had no choice but to follow him in

As soon as Jared entered the room, he started to take off his jacket and then turned to Agnes, “Close the door”

Agnes frowned, but she did as he asked.

After Jared finished taking off his coat, he started to undo the buttons of his shirt collar and then slowly walked

towards Agnes.

Feeling a sense of danger, Agnes backed away and asked, “Jared, what the hell are you trying to do?”

The next second, Agnes found herself pinned against the door by Jared.

Without a word, Jared grabbed Agnes‘ arms, put them on either side of her, and kissed her lips.

His unique cold scent invaded Agnes‘ mouth.

In an instant, Agnes‘ mind went blank, unable to react to anything.

It had been four years since she had left and never once kissed or even had the slightest intimate contact with any

man.

All these years, Phenix had been encouraging her to find a boyfriend, telling her that a woman without love would

wither away, even going as far as bringing handsome men to yacht parties just to introduce them to her.

But Agnes felt repulsed even by the touch of another man’s finger.

Anytime, she would instinctively push the man away.

But Agnes didn’t expect that after four years, she would meet Jared again.

It was as if there had been no four years of distance or estrangement between them.

When Jared kissed her, she could feel her body shaking.

The beast in his heart that had been dormant, suddenly woke up, roaring crazily.

His self–control began to crumble and eventually disappeared

He couldn’t remember how long it had been since he had kissed her. Many days and nights, he was tormented.

He didn’t know where she was, who she was with.

The thought of her smiling in someone else’s arms while he was suffering in the endless night was unbearable.

Various contradictory and complex emotions, like a flood, could no longer be controlled.

A chill surged in her chest, making Agnes fully awake.

Had Jared lost his mind?

Agnes pushed Jared away with all her might.

“Mr. Whitfield, do you lose control every time you see a woman? It would be quite awkward for us to have a proper

conversation given our current situation. You need to calm down.”

Although Agnes was panicking inside, she remained calm on the outside.

This might have been due to her years of experience as a journalist and exposure to various emergencies.

robot.

Jared also regained a bit of his sanity.

But he was surprised at Agnes‘ calmness.

Jared said coldly, “I’ve got plenty of women around me, but only one ex–wife. In all these years, I haven’t found a

woman who suits me better than you.”

Jared intentionally leaned close to Agnes, “Agnes, you’re more charming than before, do you know how much I’ve

missed you?”

Even though Agnes had a strong mind, she couldn’t help but blurt out, “Jared, you’re shameless!”

Jared didn’t seem to care

Jared said, “Agnes, don’t you want to know where your grandma is? If you agree to be my lover, I can tell you

where she is and take care of her for the rest of her life. Of course,

if you don’t agree, i can assure you, you’ll never see her again in your life.

Agnes laughed out of anger, “Mr. Whitfield, you should know that kidnapping is a crime?”

“What evidence do you have? Just based on Manela’s words? You may not know, but that woman caused a financial

deficit in the company, engaged in power and sex transactions to avoid investigation, and finally managed to climb

up the ranks by getting involved with a powerful figure. However, when her husband faced financial crisis, she

secretly divided their assets and divorced him. With such a questionable character, how much credibility should we

give to what she says?”

Agnes was stunned, retorting. “Mariela is not that kind of person.”

Jared snorted, “Do I need to lie to you? Let me tell you, that woman tried to get into my bed four years ago. She’s

despicable and outrageous, and you even

Agnes frowned.

She couldn’t process at the moment.

Jared said Mariela tried to get into his bed four years ago. Was it that time when she and Jared went back to the

countryside together?
