Agnes was eating her soup when she heard Cilian’s words, and she couldn’t help but pause, her fingers frozen mid–

Valeria glanced at Jared and said with a chuckle, “We haven’t nailed down the date yet.”

Jared announced, “Valeria and I are getting engaged next month at Caesar International Hospital in Willowbrook

Town. We hope you guys can take a break from your busy schedules and join us.”

Cilian responded with a warm smile, “I see Valeria as my own daughter. I will definitely attend her engagement

party, and I’ll bring a decent gift too.” A hint of sadness crept into Agnes‘ heart.

Even though she knew it was true, hearing it straight from them made her feel a mix of emotions.

Beatrice finally lost it and blurted out, “Jared, you’re really getting engaged?”
