Since Joseline did not care about the old relationships, Hanson figured he did not have to spare her dignity.
Joseline, who was pushed by Hanson, had knocked into a shelf, almost causing the wound on her belly to open up
again.
She frowned and held her belly, breathing sharply from the pain.
When the nanny witnessed the scene, she hurried downstairs with the child in her arms and reached out to help
Joseline up, asking with concern, “Mrs. Yiurk, are you all right?”
“Don’t touch me!” Joseline shoved the nanny aside, venting all her anger for Hanson onto the latter.
“What’s the point of hiring you when you can’t even take good care of the child? You’re fired!” she yelled.
“Please don’t get rid of me, Mrs. Yiurk…” the nanny pleaded pathetically while kneeling on the ground.
At the same time, the child in her arms cried louder. Nonetheless, Joseline merely cast the child an icy stare with no
intention of taking the latter into her arms and soothing him.
After all, her original intention of giving birth to the child was to make Hanson stay by her side and stabilize her
position in the Yiurk family.
Unfortunately, Hanson only treated her colder. In the past, he would still go come every day. But now, he would stay
out all night.
Joseline felt as if she had become transparent to Hanson. Suddenly, she placed her arms on her waist and
pondered carefully.
Why is there such a huge change in Hanson’s attitude? Could he have discovered something?
At that thought, she ordered the nanny to bring the child upstairs before walking over to the full-length windows.
She took out her phone, scrolled through her contact list, and finally dialed a number.
It did not take long for a gentle female voice to ring out over the line.
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt“Hello, Mrs. Yiurk. How may I help you?”
“I want to know where Hanson’s has been these days. Who has he met?” Joseline asked nervously.
Long ago, she had already bribed Hanson’s assistant, Lillian Hennessey.
It was all thanks to Lillian’s tip-off that Joseline had been able to remain by Hanson’s side for many years.
Meanwhile, Lillian found an empty area and lowered her voice as she informed, “Apart from the social gatherings,
Mr. Yiurk has been busy dealing with the eleven-eleven sale’s goods. He practically sleeps in the office. Hold on… He
went out last night and returned drunk in the middle of the night.”
When Joseline heard that, she felt as if someone had hit her on the head. She asked grimly, “Where did he go?”
“I heard Mr. Yiurk’s bodyguards talking about him going to a hotel. He even got into a lengthy argument with a
woman. Apparently, he got injured on the back of his head.”
“Do you know who that woman is?” Joseline’s voice was trembling, for she had a bad feeling.
“She was covered from head to toe, so I didn’t really see who she was. But based on her voice, I think it’s Angeline,
the celebrity.”
Joseline was stunned by her words, and it took her a long time to snap out of it.
She had been too nervous earlier that she did not notice Hanson’s wound. Come to think of it. I think there was a
wound on his scalp.
What made her even more furious was that Hanson had secretly met up with Angeline.
Joseline pursed her lips and clenched her fists as jealousy flashed across her eyes.
Fine. Since Hanson never cared about our relationship as a married couple, then he’d better not blame me for
being heartless. I’m going to make them suffer, even if it means hurting myself.
A few days before the eleven-eleven sale, the major buildings in the center of Hallsbay were brightly lit, and the
staff could be seen working hard through the windows.
Everyone was awaiting the midnight of the event to put up the goods.
Meanwhile, Golding Group was no exception to the frenzy as well. When Evander had finished signing a series of
documents, he leaned against his chair and glanced at the clock. It was already past eleven o’clock at night.
Knock! Knock!
Just then, Sylas entered the office with Evander’s supper.
“Mr. Golding, please have some mushroom soup and go home to get some rest. All the staff downstairs have left,’
Sylas informed.
“Okay.” Evander eyed the thermal container in a daze. “Who brought this?”
“I bought it from the restaurant downstairs.”
Upon hearing that, Evander lowered his gaze to conceal the disappointment in his eyes.
For a split second, he thought Angeline had specially made mushroom soup for him.
Reading the room, Sylas poured some of the soup out and gave it to Evander. However, the latter frowned after
taking a spoonful.
Ugh. This is not as great as Angeline’s.
With that thought in mind, Evander put down his spoon unenthusiastically and pulled out his phone to give Angeline
a call. He did not realize how late it was until he glanced at the time. She must be sleeping already.
In the end, he dismissed the idea of calling her. Instead, he tapped on a picture of her and admired it for some
time.
Seeing Evander was in a fairly good mood, Sylas handed the former a document and asked, “Mr. Golding, this is the
list of candidates for the host of the eleven-eleven sale. I’ve picked a few well-known female artists. Could you

As a company that ran a big business, Golding Group always offered payments many times higher than other
companies. On top of that, not all female artists could secure a deal with them, no matter how many connections
they had. Naturally, the artists would not miss out on an opportunity like that.
“It’s a small matter. You can handle it on your own without asking me,” instructed Evander. With that, he put on his
coat and grabbed his keys from the table. The moment he arrived at the door, a thought came to him, and he
halted in his tracks. Fixing his gaze on Sylas, Evander said, “Book Angeline.”
Sylas carefully studied Evander’s expression before informing helplessly, “I’m afraid that won’t do. Ms. Sorelle has
already agreed to work with Yiurk Group for the event.”
Hanson?
Evander scowled at the mere thought of that name, and his gaze turned so cold that it could make anyone shudder.
In fact, even the atmosphere in the office took a dip.
Sylas gulped fearfully, and he stuttered, “M-Mr. Golding, I-I’ll talk to Ms. Sorelle about this. I’m sure she’ll change
her mind and pick us.”
“It’s fine,” Evander rejected icily.
The event was not the main point, after all.
On top of that, Angeline would never get back to Hanson after what happened during the previous incident.
Evander was eager to find out what Angeline was up to this time.
Two nights before the event, all the major companies were busy getting ready for the live streaming and putting up
the new goods while awaiting the next day’s midnight.
Meanwhile, Angeline arrived at Forrester Group under Nancy’s lead the next day in the afternoon.
Standing by the door was a bodyguard who had been waiting for them. As soon as he spotted Angeline and Nancy,
he hurried over and greeted, “Welcome, Ms. Sorelle.”
“Thank you,” responded Angeline indifferently, removing her sunglasses as she exited the car.
The truth was, the Yiurk and the Sorelle family were close, and they had collaborated to establish Forrester Group
when she was three years old to strengthen the bond.
