79 Chapter Angry Dominic “She did enough, now I will say what you are going to do.” The powerful and cold voice commanded
from the entrance of the pack house, stilling and freezing everyone on their spot. A look of fear plastered on each of their faces
as they slowly looked at the door at their... ALPHA. Even though Suzanne and Patricia didn’t tell their men about what was
happening here because they wanted Athena to handle it, one of the guards mind-linked them already and told them what was
happening here. Because he was afraid that they wouldn’t be able to handle the angry crowd. Dominic and others immediately
decided to come back because they were aware of how their members can act when they are angry. They reached there a few
minutes ago. They were there for enough time to witness how Athena was handling the pack
Dominic was astonished the way everyone calmed down by Athena’s one command. How eager they were to fulfil her wish
considering that as a command! Isn‘t that just great that his pack was happy with his mate?
But was that enough? Because from the time he came, he noticed her flinching every time they addressed her as Luna. He
understood it very well what that look meant. He wasn’t ready to face it but he was preparing himself to face it. He was going to
face his mistakes bravely if that is what Athena wants.
“Dominic?” Athena questioned in surprise as she wasn’t expecting him to be there so soon. Her demeanour went back to normal
and her calm self as she looked at him.
But soon that changed as she looked at his cold and distanced face. She frowned, unable to understand why he looked so
upset. Was it because of the pack members or because she interfered in his matters? She couldn’t understand but she didn’t like
“How dare you guys act like the animals you are?!” Dominic growled in an animalistic tone, almost shaking up the whole
mansion. Everyone immediately dropped on their knees with their heads kneeled down. They knew they messed up and their
alpha was furious about it. “We are sor-....” One of them tried to speak up but Dominic‘s other growl shut him up immediately.
“Shut the fuck up! How fucking dare you go against my words and act like this?! Why do you all fucking think of yourself?!”
Dominic growled once again as he took intimidating steps toward them.
And before anyone could understand anything, he reached a nearby member and picked him up by his collar. The man’s feet
were off the ground and they were dangling in the air.
Everyone let out a gasp in shock, including Athena. She never thought that he would get so angry even after she handled it. She
looked at him with widened eyes as she stood a few feet
away from him. She couldn‘t decide if she should interfere in this or not. She didn’t want to anger him more when he was in his
alpha mode.
“What do you all fucking think of yourself, huh? An alpha?! You want to fucking challenge me, tell me?!” He growled as he glared
at each of the team members. His eyes were flashing golden, letting everyone know that his wolf was on the surface. No one
could blame him for acting like that because the way the pack members decided to take things in hand, the alpha is supposed to
feel challenged automatically. “Alpha, you should...” Nathan tried to stop him but one glare from Dominic stopped him right at the
middle of his words.
“I don’t need to know from you about what I should do! No one SHOULD interfere with what I am doing.” He growled, making the
“Nathan! What’s wrong with him?! Do something! Stop him.” Suzanne exclaimed in shock and disbelief as she held her mate’s
hand tightly. She was afraid of what might happen if Dominic didn’t calm down at that moment.
“He is not in a good mood. Something happened at the border and it pushed the wrong button on him.” Nathan said in a low tone
while thinking of ways on how to calm him down.
Athena’s ear was on their conversation. She frowned deeply hearing that. What happened at the border? And why did it trigger
him so much that he was almost killing his own pack members whom he treasured so much? She wanted to know that badly.
“What happened there?” Thankfully Patricia asked the question on her behalf and she waited for any of them to answer.
“It‘s about his....past.” Justin breathed out in nervousness as well because he knew how sensitive the topic was.
Athena fell into deep confusion after hearing that. His past? What happened in his past that triggered him so much even after so
many years? Was it something that bad? She had to know
that.
“Athena, do something!” Nathan suddenly hissed near her ears, making her jump. He made sure to keep his voice low so that
Dominic doesn’t hear him.
“What do you want me to do? I can‘t do anything here!” She hissed back while looking at Dominic with widened eyes. She has
never seen him act like this and it was confusing as well as scary.
“He needs to calm down, Athena. He can’t create a scene like this when his pack members were just trying to be caring toward
him; it might affect them negatively. And if anyone can calm him down at this moment, that‘s you. Stop him.” Justin whispered
while praying that Dominic doesn’t lose his temper completely. “He is in his alpha mode. How can I calm him down now?” she
asked in confusion, unable to understand why they are thinking that she can calm him down. “Then get in your Luna mode.”
