Chapter 196

Evadne didn’t show up at the fashion event today to brag about her wealth and status, but to take care

of a couple of important things.

First, she had to face the media and seriously respond to the rumors about her cutting off the

Abernathy Group, eliminating unnecessary speculation and

chatter.

Second, she publicly gave a gift to Ada, which was actually a chance to keep an eye on Glynnis and

make sure she had control over the situation. She couldn’t afford to give Glynnis, who had bad

intentions, an opportunity.

Just then, Ada and a middle–aged man in a tailored brown suit, with an extraordinary demeanor,

walked over.

“Ms. Evadne, let me introduce you,” Ada hurriedly introduced, “This is Mr. Alvin, the global president of

Aurora Adornments, and a dear friend of mine. Alvin, this is Ms. Evadne, the general manager of K

World Hotel. She’s quite a talented lady!”

Alvin was born and raised in Aetheria, he had golden hair, deep blue eyes, and royal blood.

“Mr. Alvin, it’s a pleasure to meet you. Welcome to Elmsworth, Evadne slightly lifted her bright red lips,

grinned, and extended her clean and beautiful hand.

“It’s nice to meet you, Ms. Evadne. It’s our honor to have you at our show,” Alvin replied a bit

awkwardly and shook hands with her.

Ada glanced at Alvin, then at Evadne, feeling the atmosphere a bit off.

They should be meeting for the first time, right? Why did it feel like Alvin and Evadne knew each other

before?

The reporters were all stunned!

Mr. Alvin was of noble status. He had royal blood and always appeared aloof. But when he saw

Evadne, he showed a gentle smile, as if they were close, friends.

Ms. Evadne was indeed no ordinary woman. She was so beautiful and elegant. It was only natural for

men to like her, right?

“Ms. Evadne, what a coincidence to see you here,” Edith, in her gorgeous trailing gown, gracefully

walked over to Evadne.

Her big eyes were like crystals, and her cheeks had two deep dimples. She looked like an innocent,

naive angel when she smiled.

Evadne’s eyes squinted slightly, her icy gaze silently swept over Edith.

The next second, Evadne completely ignored Edith and instead smiled and said to Alvin and Ada,

“Let’s chat over there.”

Edith was ruthlessly ignored and she was so angry that her eyes turned red and her body started

shaking.

Her brother was Jareth! How dared Evadne treat her so lightly?

Alvin and Ada had the same intention. Just as they were about to leave, Edith suddenly sneered, “Ms.

Evadne, the jewelry you’re wearing today is really nice. The combination of pigeon blood rubies and

rose gold doesn’t feel cliched at all. I was attracted by your jewelry from afar.”

Then everyone’s eyes fell on Evadne.

Evadne remained calm and cool, and gave a light smile, “Thank you for the compliment.”

“But the jewelry you’re wearing doesn’t seem to be from Aurora Adornments, right?” Edith looked cold

and directly pointed out the fact.

Everyone took a closer look and found out it was true!

The jewelry Ms. Evadne was wearing was beautiful, but anyone with a little knowledge of jewelry could

“Today is Aurora Adornments‘ big show, but you wore jewelry from another brand. That seems a bit

Reporters began to whisper, casting doubtful glances at Evadne.

“As the leader of the K Group, she should know this rule, right?”

“She must know! She’s probably trying to take advantage of this on purpose. Ah, these business
