Alexander had to admit that Lily mastered the skills of persuasion better than he did. No matter how worried or anxious he was, he
gave in after listening to her well-reasoned explanation and analysis of the situation.
He did, however, want her to stay in touch with him at all times, and she had to give up immediately if she sensed any danger, as
her safety had to be her top priority.
As for Mike, he promised to keep her safe to the best of his abilities. The three had reached an agreement before going their
separate ways.
Alexander and Lily had their respective concerns, so they said nothing to each other on the way home, their brows locked the
entire journey.

When they arrived home, Lily was stunned when she noticed Olivia standing at the door. Olivia did not inform Lily that she was
coming, nor did she wait inside the house. Instead, she just stood outside and waited for Lily to return. The car was nearby, so
Olivia probably noticed they had returned and strode in their direction.
“Stop the car,” Lily said.
When the car cto a halt, she opened the door immediately and exited the vehicle. “What's up? You didn’t even call to tell me
you were coming.”
Lily raised her hand to hold Olivia's belly. Seeing Olivia's worried expression, she seemed to understand the reason behind her
look.
“]..." Just as Olivia was about to speak, Lily pulled her hand lightly and said, “Let's head inside first.”
The yard was not a great place to chat, and it was also chilly out here. Olivia said nothing and just followed them into the house.
Soon after, Alexander left again. It had been a long tsince he left the company, and there were many matters he had to settle.
He was even busier than Lily.
Lily got one of the maids to serve them two glasses of warm milk, then got the others to disperse to do their respective work. Then
she looked at Olivia and asked, “What's wrong?”
Olivia held the glass of warm milk, but her face was pale while her fingers and lips trembled lightly. However, she said nothing. It
looked like she was trying her best to calm herself down.
“Is it about Edward?” Lily probed after sthought. “Did he say anything to you after returning home? Did he notice you've
already realized it, or is he still pretending that nothing had happened?”

“He wants to file for a divorce.”
Olivia stopped Lily from guessing further. Suddenly, she raised her head, and from her gaze, one could tell she was panicking.
Lily was stunned. That was something she had not expected. Her mind even went blank for a moment. “What did you say?”
“He said he wanted to get a divorce with me, and he’s serious about it. I-l don’t know what | should do.” Olivia almost spilled the
warm milk, so she hurriedly placed it back on the table.
She curled her legs as she hugged her knees to her chest. However, she could not hold them right because of her belly, so she just
stayed in that awkward position, looking like a frightened rabbit that was cowering pitifully.
“Why did he bring that up all of a sudden? Did you guys get into a fight?” Lily could not figure it out either.
