Seeing that Dominic had finally turned to look at him, Austin was delighted. "Uncle Dom, don't waste your time! These medical
books are a thousand years old. No matter how good they were in the past, they can’t keep up with an ever-changing society.
“Besides, these viruses were developed abroad. They're new and mutable. There's no way these ancient books know how to tackle
them." He felt that what Dominic was doing was pointless.
Although Austin had studied traditional medicine, he knew that no matter how good it was, it was only invented to cure everyday
illnesses. This newly developed virus was something no one had seen before. When he was injected with it, the virus could even
manipulate his pulse. Traditional medicine could never compete with technology from abroad.
"Who told you that?!" Dominic shot Austin a glare. "What have you learned fromthese past few years?! Dogsh*t!"
Austin immediately fell quiet.

"No matter how advanced modern medicine is, it's also based on the wisdom they've accumulated throughout the years. No
matter how much it evolves, the core remains the same.
“The plague in the past was worse than this, but humankind still conquered it. Since this virus is man-made, men must also
eradicate it!" Dominic explained. Then he shut his book and tapped Austin’s head. "Don't move!"
After being reprimanded, Austin had no choice but to lie down obediently, not daring to move anymore. However, he still mumbled,
"Yes, but that was a long process. How many people died, and how many years have passed before they finally stopped the
plague?
“Also, this group of people is researching more than one type of virus. It'll take forever for people to..." He did not continue his
sentence.
‘The only way to overcthis is to get a hold of the detailed process and data of the virus' development. That way, scientists can
develop an antidote to target the man-made virus.
‘But how is that possible?! Even escaping from that place was harder than leaving the devil's lair. | got lucky. We have no idea
where the organization's base is and how many secrets they're hiding.’
Dominic remained silent, quickly guessing what Austin wanted to say. He removed his reading glasses and sighed, thinking about
how Lily was doing.
"Uncle Dom, didn't Lily cjust now?" Austin did not hear what the servant said and assumed Lily had come. He wondered if she
had already left.
"It wasn't her," Dominic grumbled as soon as Lily was mentioned. Then he leaned back into his chair and sipped his tea.
'Huh? He sounds upset.”

Austin turned to look at Dominic. "Uncle Dom, did you and Lily fight?"
"Enough being nosy!" Dominic raised his hand and slapped Austin’s back.
Austin grunted and looked resentfully at Dominic. ‘I was just asking a simple question. Why did the old man get so riled up?’
"Uncle Dom, I'm still a patient!"
"Who said you're a patient? You're fine now! You can leave tomorrow!"
Austin was speechless.
Dominic's tone was terrible, but he carefully checked the needles on Austin's back. Austin’s skin was slowly regaining color, and he
looked much better. However, things seemed to be going too smoothly.
