Lily was puzzled.
“We don’t have tto dwell on this now. I'm serious.” Edward sighed helplessly. “Please. I'm begging you two to leave. Now!”
“Did you place bombs in this place?” Lily asked after sthought as he urged them to leave.
Mike becwide-eyed. “Bombs?”
Then he rummaged around, unsure if Edward had placed a bomb there.
‘He would be crazy if he did!"
“No,” Mike sighed. “We shouldn't stay here any longer. I...”

Before he could finish, a banging sound cfrom inside the bookshelf. Lily glanced over subconsciously while Edward became
increasingly anxious. “Mrs. Russell, please listen tothis time!”
“You listen to me. Bring us inside to meet him!” Lily said severely.
After a momentary hesitation, Edward nodded. Although they knew he was unwilling, he always obeyed Lily.
Lily noticed it and slowly loosened her grip on Edward. Upon regaining his freedom, Edward moved his wrist a little. Although it still
hurt, his skin had no marks—not even a red mark from being grabbed so tightly.
He always knew Lily was an expert in kickboxing, but as they had never engaged in combat, he was unsure of her real capabilities.
However, he finally experienced it for himself.
After twisting and turning his wrist, Edward walked over to the bookshelf. He stood there and raised his hand before squatting to
turn the vase on the shelf's bottom-most section. However, the bookshelf remained the same.
Lily was confused, and so was Mike.
Edward turned to look at them and explained nothing, even though he knew why they were confused. Instead, he walked to the
other side of the shelf. Then he stretched his arm and bent over to pick up a book, doing the sto another section.
After his last action, a booming sound cfrom the bookshelf. The sound was not particularly loud, but as the twas not
speaking and focused on the bookshelf, it still surprised them.
Lily said nothing but was shocked to her core. It turned out this office was indeed hiding an important secret. Not only did it have a
secret room, but it was also tricky to enter. Without seeing it for herself, she would not have known how much it took to unlock the
secret room.

Still, she wondered how Edward knew this.
She looked at Edward doubtfully, but he did not look back at her. He stood with his hands hanging by his sides and faced the
bookshelf splitting into half from its center. It made him feel a sudden sense of loneliness.
Mike's mouth was wide open, astonished beyond words.
“What? There's a secret room in here!” Mike said, “I was the one who moved and arranged all the things in this office. How did |
miss this?”
He could not explain his feelings and was amazed by how well the secret room was hidden.
Once the bookshelf split in half and moved to both sides, they could see what was behind it all along.
Mike entered the space hurriedly, with Edward following suit. As for Lily, she watched them and paused momentarily to look
outside the door. Since it was dead silent, she followed behind them as well.
