" Why is no one here?" Liliana asked when they reached the upper floors of the mall. It looked like a ghost town.
" I can see some people there. But security is blocking them. Did an accident happen?" Rosaline noticed a queue in the distance.
" Let's go. I was only able to get a few hours." Samuel completely ignored their surprised faces and urged them to move.
" Explain it properly first!" Liliana shouted.
" I talked with the boss and reserved some floors here. Nothing to yell about."
" You did what? Is that even allowed?"
" This is too much!"
" It's not my first time. I have seen my aunt and mother do it every time we shopped." Samuel shrugged it off. No one could blame him after being influenced by the 'demoness' or his aunt Mary who was on the verge of getting her nickname.
They moved passed the crowd as people watched them and sneered in their hearts. The poor boy was going to get embarrassed in front of the girls.
But nothing happened; he passed the checkpoint without anyone stopping him. What's more, they were incredibly cordial to him; how was that possible. Wasn't he some ignorant fool that was cutting the line?
Follow on NovᴇlEnglish.nᴇt" I don't like them glaring at us." Rosaline could see their envious expression.
At that time, someone shouted from the crowd. It was Johnson that cut them off at the entrance; he recognized the cheap cap and sunglasses.
" Hey, how can you let them pass while telling me to wait for three hours? Do you know who I am?" He shouted at the guards. It was also a taunt for Samuel.
" Bitch, you dared to cross the line. You are just an employee trying to show off in front of your friends." He sneered. He was already ogling the beauties beside him with his lecherous eyes. He had to admit they were one of the most beautiful girls he had seen, way better than the girl accompanying him.
" Sir, it's not like that-"
" Shut up! Call your manager right now! I want to explain how you let these kinds of people in!"
" Why are you shouting? Do you have a problem?" Samuel asked. Why was this person provoking him out of the blue?
" Yeah, why can't you people do your job properly? Because of your laziness, I had to wait out here." Everyone heard Johnson's words.
" Is he the maintenance boy?"
" I think so; look at his clothes. He must be here to fix the power lines or something."
" What about the girls beside him? They don't look like his helpers."
" He must be showing off! Hump, he could focus on the job if he got that much time."
The people who were evacuated earlier began discussing among themselves. Somehow Samuel became the root of their problems as they started piling their complaints upon him.
" Hey John, stop it. We can visit the restaurant downstairs and come back later." The girl who was accompanying him tried to persuade him.
" Shut up bitch! Stay out of this." He was extremely jealous; a lowly store boy had better girls accompanying him. It was a massive slap to his ego!
" Hump, fuck you! Don't ever try to contact me again!" The girl had had enough. It was the perfect excuse for her to leave this bastard. She had already gotten enough capital out of their short-tenure relationship.
" Should you run after her?" Samuel was already in front of him, towering over him like he was looking at some trash on the road. He would have let him go, but Samuel sensed his lustful gaze, which meant instant death for this son of a bitch!
" You- What? D-do you think I am s-scared? I am Johnson-" Samuel grabbed his neck and lifted him up in the air before he could finish.
" What? I didn't hear you." he increased his grip strength.
" I...am....J" A tremendous slap mark appeared on the right side of his face. It was so hard that people nearby felt the shockwave hearing the crisp sound.
" Speak louder!"
" John..." A second time, he began bleeding from his mouth.
Follow on Novᴇl-Onlinᴇ.cᴏm" Sir, Please!" The manager was already there. He was horrified to witness the insane scene. A public beatdown, no, it looked like an execution.
" Samuel, let him go! I don't think he could hold on much longer." Liliana grabbed his shoulder and asked him to do the right thing. On the other hand, Rosaline was shaking a little; Samuel's murderous intent was thick, just like when he took care of the silver group.
She still remembers how he became a completely different person at that time. Samuel looked around, and everyone was scared of him except Liliana, who looked concerned.
" Ok." He dropped him and began to wipe the blood off of his hands.
" Manager take care of this scum if anyone questions about it tell them my name."
" Yes, sir! Thank you for your mercy!" Johnson was already foaming from his mouth. He seems to have lost consciousness after the second slap. The manager immediately ordered some people to clean up the mess and inform the 'victims' parents.
" Shit! What just happened? How can he beat someone like a dog?"
" Keke, I don't know who he is, but I have adequately recorded it! You don't see stuff like this every day.
" Good job! Share it with me! He must be a low-key boss."
" I agree."
But it did not go according to their plan; several dozen men quickly surrounded them and politely asked them to destroy the evidence.
After witnessing what the boss of these men didn't dare to deny their 'request'. They had trained for a situation like this, and within a few minutes, everything returned to how it was. But it spread albeit through word of mouth; some called it a made-up story while others thought it was a PR stunt.
Regardless the people who witnessed it first-hand knew the truth. And the truth always prevails; although Samuel was wearing a disguise, the girls weren't. Hopefully, if they spot them again, they could know about the mysterious man's identity.
